So the other day a bunch of us where discussing the iPhone 4s and specifically Siri. Which made me curious. Do you have an iPhone 4s Do you like Siri?

I have an older iphone. We have a love/hate relationship. Today it's mostly hate. This morning I used my phone to take a pic for the show your stash thread. I like the pic. Couldn't get pic to upload to the suggested site from the phone. Tried to get pic on my computer from the phone. Itunes said I need to update or something and it erased all my music and all my Monk episodes.

My friend did get one and it is kind of cool. It is NOT really the phone, it is just Dragon Naturally Speaking software. Technically ANY phone could do the same thing.

What I LOVE about my DROID BIONIC is the LAPDOC that allows me to have a REAL, 4G internet connected computer, without buying ANY additional device or data plan. We now have 4G speed here and it ROCKS.

Of course the 4G amazing speed on the iPhone....oh wait....they STILL don't connect in 4G despite the fact that EVERY carrier is going that way.

THAT was my main consideration in skipping ANY phone that was APPLE. I am NOT buying the "latest, greatest" phone...designed to ONLY work on YESTERDAYS network as it is being phased out!!!!! That would be like buying the newest BMW and having it limited to dirt roads at 35 mph. Come on...really????

I see your point. However, I'm going to be spending the next two years in a small town that to my knowledge, has nearly no 4g anywhere and won't for a long time so I don't really think it would make that big of a difference to me personally....

I broke down and bought an iPhone when the 4s came out, and actually, I tend to miss the Android voice searching stuff. Siri can actually do more, but I rarely use it.

To answer my own question. I talking through my phone I don't talk to my phone, it does not talk back to me.I like it this way.

Also, I'm not a big fan of Aplle and their massive hype machine in general. Example: do you see anyone else running a massive as campaign in order to get people to pay good money to buy/upgrade to a beta software?

I also don't like the talking thing. I don't use voice search on my phone at all.

The Android community came out with Iris like 2 days after Siri was out. Prob works on certain roms. I don't know.
