I try to go whenever I can but it has been forever. I miss my church family. I am sorry that the church your friend took you to was judgemental. The body of christ shouldn't do that, it is unchristlike. My church is nondenominational. Jesus didn't tell people they were wrong, he just loved them, shared the joy and love of Abba, and was a friend to all. Just as it should be. None of this juding crap. If anyone is allowed to judge, it is God. And he will not put us down. Members of my church know about my actions, they may not be happy about all of it but they shower me with love and listen to me. I told my pastor about me buying toys and masturbating and stuff and he said that if it keeps me safe from std's had keeps me from going out and having sex, do it because it keeps me safe. He never once judged me, just wanted to know I was safe. He even knows I have had sex and was very understanding. He will admit himself he is far from perfect and can judge no one. Church should be a loving family who hears your concerns and takes care of you, not hear your story and judge. I am sorry that church was like that, if you ever want to talk about anything at all, sex, love, toys, life, ect., feel free to message me.

Blessings,
DirtyAngel7

We are both very active in our church (Methodist), praise band, small groups, mission work, etc.

Oh boy, did you attend a catholic church or luteran?
My mom grew up in the lutheran church and said she got tired of the emphasis on money all the time instead of on Jesus.

I'm a proud Atheist and have been for as long as I remember. I never go to church.

If I was paid to go, I would. But never willingly.

It would break my mom's heart if she knew I was an atheist so I go with her on Easter and Christmas. (I've 'broken her heart' other ways, so I figure she can at least have this.)

When I was a kid I used to go but you get kicked out enough times, your family stops making you go.

I go when I feel like it because of family. My church is pretty much all family or like family and it's not one that's judgmental or money hungry. It's a Christian Church.

I suspect that's NOT the norm as churches go.

Occasionally. Unless Nature counts (and I think it should). Then, frequently.
