I totally forgot to include curling and straightening irons!

The way I see it, anything comsumable (soap, shampoo, coffee (and accessories), paper products, etc) is fair game. The small sizes make it great for visiting with family, to give your house guests so they don't use up your good stuff, or (for me personally) when I'll shortly be going to the hospital to have our baby.

Reusable items (towels/robes, coffee pots/makers, sheets, etc) are simply too "big ticket" for me, and I'm always paranoid that they'll be charged against my credit card.

Coffee and hot chocolate always! On the rare, rare occasion that I don't finish the supplied shampoo/conditioner, I take that as well, because I have really long hair and it takes a lot of product. I then take the swiped bottles with me next time I stay somewhere, to add to what I'm given. I figure they're not losing anything - they gave it to me to use, and use it I shall! It's not like taking a towel or something that they were planning on washing and re-using.

That's a good idea to reuse what you take from one place to use at the next!

Just stuff like soap and lotion. I figure they replace that stuff anyway after someone uses a room.

I don't really take anything. How many people used that bath robe or towel before me? *shudder*

Here in China in all the hotels we get toothbrushes with toothpaste, razors, shaving cream (and sometimes? They are the REALLY nice Gillette razors with the aloe strip in a little plastic sealed baggie with some shaving cream), combs and usually a nice sewing kit.

I usually take the toothpaste and razors.

I used to manage a CD store & you wouldn't believe how many gospel CDs got stolen--it was really ludicrous!

As far as the original question, I take the soap, shampoo, & conditioner since I know they'll get thrown out anyway, but I leave everything else.

The soaps and shampoos get used when I go on other trips. I am paying for the stuff so I might as well take it.

Hahahaha light bulbs. The hell people? XD

I will take the little toiletries but that's about it. Many places will charge your credit cards if they catch on that you stole their towels, hair drier, sheets, or pillows. The bibles are basically meant to be taken.
