Heard a comment by my morning radio DJ about a poll HE heard at a "radio broadcasters" conference. Apparently in the 50's, people whistled a LOT. By the 70's it was much more rare and today, it is basically an "oddball" activity.

Yes I like to whistle when driving my car. Also if I whistle after finishing any thing done by my hand. But I never whistle at street because it will turn people eyes toward me.
