Do you guys use energy drinks? What types and how often?

I try not to drink them very often but the blueberry Red Bull is pretty tasty so I steal a sip of my boyfriends from time to time lol

Straight Red Bull. I’ve tried almost all of them available (at least in my area) and Red Bull still wins for me. - C

Energy drinks are one of those things I can rant about.

To sum, though, I think most of them are crap for your body so I do my best to avoid them. Coffee is one of the best stimulants if you need a drink (everything in moderation). And 5 hour energy is the devil.

If you want to increase alertness more naturally, you can do some light exercise, drink coffee or tea, and wake up more naturally using circadian rhythms. I'll get off my soapbox now

I can usually take them or leave them. I prefer other drinks most of the time, but....

When riding my dirtbike I NEED to drink a Full Throttle energy drink before I even get the bike out of the trailer. The first time I did not have one, I bottomed out in a steep and abrupt washout. I hyper-extended my knee but it was only a low medium extension thank goodness. This second and last time...I was at 3/4 throttle in 3rd gear and did not make the unexpected jump. My front end bottomed out and I went over the bars. This was about a month and a half-two months ago. I hit my butt on the back of the helmet-literally!--and landed on my knee after going over the bars. I am still a seriously hurting woman!! My knee is dead...not bruised anymore but there is no feeling in the front and right side. I am going riding again next weekend again, can't keep me off the big green machine!!!

I use them occasionally. I am really sensitive to caffeine, so it doesn't take much. I'll split a 5-Hour energy into 4 different 20 oz drinks (vitamin water) - and it will still give me a buzz.

I agree! That's why I try to avoid them completely. I used to be a waitress in a breakfast diner, so I would drink them (guilty of taking 5 hours energys back then too!) as I have never been a fan of coffee. I just can't stand the after-taste! But now I'm a stay at home mom so I like never drink any of that stuff anymore. I get caffeine from soda, lol.

Though my SO drinks blueberry Red Bull like every day, lol.
