Energy drinks are one of those things I can rant about.
To sum, though, I think most of them are crap for your body so I do my best to avoid them. Coffee is one of the best stimulants if you need a drink (everything in moderation). And 5 hour energy is the devil.
If you want to increase alertness more naturally, you can do some light exercise, drink coffee or tea, and wake up more naturally using circadian rhythms. I'll get off my soapbox now
