I think I tried to once but my mother put the end to it before I had even started. xD
Knowing me I probably would have had nightmares anyway so I'm sort of glad she stopped me from doing it. I did hear about another version (can't say if it works since I'm a bit of a chicken so do it at your own risk I guess) while I was browsing a site a while back.

I tried it once, but nothing happened. Also, I wasn't aware of the blood and water on the mirror part...kind of gross.

Yeah, It was a ritual with the kids in my neighborhood. The only things you see are whats it your imagination. Its been proven that focusing on a reflection and straining your eyes will alter an image in a mostly negative way, freaking you out. Just like those pictures that have you stare for 3 seconds and then it starts to get blurry but when you look up and blink your eyes the picture is right infront of you.
