Have you ever quit your job?

I've quit jobs, been fired from jobs, and even had to fire myself from a job. Different circumstances in each case.

My disability was being made worse by the stress and work they were making me do. Plus I'm pretty sure they were going to fire me anyway. They kept accusing me of giving out the wrong change all the time but, imo, there was pretty horrible security at this place. I think one of the managers was taking lunch money here and there from the registers.

Yes - in the old days it wasn't uncommon to quit one job to take a better one. That hasn't been possible for a very long time! Just hanging on to a job I hate - it really sucks.

I didn't have a straw. I just thought about it for a long time. I was tired of the way she had me clean the whole shop while working for the same amount she pays her other employees to sit and watch the plasma screen all day. She didn't appreciate my hard work.

I gave her my two weeks notice before cleaning one last time for her son's graduation party that was being held there. I don't know why I did her that favor. I just would have felt bad leaving and not doing that.
