Seems like a pretty big invasion of privacy to me.
If I found out in passing, I'd be cool but I'm not going to go "oh I know you, let me call you out and embarrass you for having an interest in a fulfilling sexlife", you know?

There's one I might have known IRL when I lived in their area, but we obviously didn't know each other personally. We respect the other's identity and it's not too big a deal.

I've never done that, and don't plan to. I don't really care enough, or I guess I'm not nosy enough - it just doesn't appeal to me to hunt around and try to discover who people might be.

Nope. I wouldn't do that. Though, there is a contributor here that I feel must be someone I have known in high school. Because they treat me like I was treated in school they just do it vaguely.

Nope. If I saw someone and was like "Hey ----! It's ----!" I might try and talk to them, but if it wasn't obvious I wouldn't snoop. I wouldn't be like "Hey, that SEEMS to be ----... Let me stalk them and be creepy and see!"

I am looking for any EF member that is older than me.
there isn't anyone I know who would be an EF member. in fact, anyone that knows me would be so shocked they wouldn't be able to pick up their dropped jaw from the floor for a week, at least.
besides, anonymity is what makes it so easy to be an EF member. and I respect that.

Yes, once and I was right, though I never said anything to them. I don't think they know who I am. But they had their stuff linked to their facebook and something they posted in the forum made me think I may know them, I was bored, so looked.

No. Everyone here has different boundaries and I try to respect them. Sometimes people remind me in passing of posters on other online forums, but I have no desire to play Sherlock and see if I can connect the dots. Everyone is entitled to privacy.

No. I would not bother. That's also rude, as this is supposed to be a place where people's identities are covered. I don't find it to be respectful of others' privacy.
