We envy those who have a set "get away" as we always have to start making hotel reservations miles inland. Our families and friends are either in the same boat as us (on the coast) or thousands of miles away.

We go to Houston or Jackson. We stay in a hotel, but my mom has a few specific ones she always books our reservations.

We don't have a specific place. Both sides of our family like fairly close by. Plus, depending on the path, having a set place wouldn't always work unless we went at least into the Appalachians.
