Are you klutzy or graceful?

Oh my goodness, I am a huge klutz! I walk into poles and pillars, trip over oxygen molecules and all sorts of embarrassing things all of the time! It's bad that when I'm out with my family they are constantly ready to try and stop me from falling or walking into something. less

The ER is not known for it's humor unfortunately, when I went after getting bit by a skunk most of their reactions were more like: "how'd that happen? 0_o" or "this is the first time I've ever seen a skunk bite in here before".

I feel your pain though; my mother's convinced she had a "klutz" gene and it passed to me at birth.
Being clumsy is a tough job, but some of us have to do it. xD less

Well it was about midnight and really hot inside the house so, like usual, I went outside to sit in one of the chairs in the driveway.
I got nice and comfortable, kicked off my shoes, and turned on my mp3 player...about half an hour later I was just sitting there with my eyes closed, relaxing, and I felt something walk underneath the chair.

So I very carefully peek down and see a big, bushy, black&white tail off to the side. I shut off the mp3 and sat as still as possible (sorta hoped it would just...wander away).
Now the skunk turns around and starts sniffing at my foot, I didn't want to scare it and wind up sprayed so I stayed still.
I guess it got my pinky toe confused for something pretty damn good because the next thing I know it's taking a few nibbles to test it.

After two nips and one more serious bite it heads down the driveway after deciding I wasn't food. So I wait a few minutes and run into the house where I notice my toe bleeding a bit. My mom called the hospital to see what we should do but they said to come in since a lot of skunks have rabies.

Coincidentally, the vaccine for rabies is a lovely shade of fuchsia pink. less
