Many places do things like this. The best will still be best though so I don't see it hurting.

This, exactly.

A little, yes but EF doesn't have to worry about losing business. If I pulled that up I would probably check to make sure I didn't type something wrong before jumping to the conclusion that EF is no more.

This happens all the time, for countless domains. You can mis-type a letter or add/minus one letter and be redirected to something very different. Many domains capitalize on this common error to get more traffic, often by rerouting many different domain names that are mis-typed to their main site.

Underhanded yeah, but illegal? I dunno', I'm not a lawyer. Big deal? Nah. It takes a lot more than a tricky domain name to be a successful company.

I just tried it and it didn't take me anywhere.

Very, very much so. It's up to the proprietor to cover their own ass and buy domains so that things like this don't happen. And Eden has their bases pretty well covered. I highly doubt anyone could or would confuse EF with anyone else. We're just too awesome!

That's incredibly sketch. But I don't know if it would really harm any business for eden. Eden is just straight-up the best site out there.

Not necessarily. Not every site displays their url prominently on their site's main page, and sometimes their url isn't their actual site name, but based on something else entirely.

Companies do this in the hopes of users making a typo.

Meh, business is business. If any of you had the chance to buy gooogle (dot) com or faceboo(dot)com, wouldn't you? They recognize how popular Eden is and are cashing in from it. If they wanted to, Eden could have purchased that domain. Business is business.

But yeah, that whole crap about p-spot toys being only for gay men? Fuck that noise.

Yes, but my point was that legitimate companies don't always have site urls the same as what the actual name for their business is.

(Not saying that this is the case, here. That site is clearly being underhanded and sneaky, and come Judgment Day Skynet shall terminate them with due haste and verve. *whistles innocently*)
