What's your take on god?

Contributor: xcapricax xcapricax
I think of god as more of an energy then a physical body. I think this energy has appeared to many different cultures through out time as differnt races, genders and ever species. It only makes since that god would appear to differnt people in a form that relates to them. I also dont believe there is a book that was ever written that is truely the word of god. What do you think of god?

I think ancient Greek Mythology and its stories of gods and goddesses are interesting. That's about it.

As for religion, I find it sad that it is the cause behind so much hatred and even wars. Especially since a tenet of so many religions is to love others - so often with religion, there is way too little loving of others going on and way too much judgment.

I don't think there are any.

God is more a sentient energy than what most people think of as some guy in the clouds. I see God as genderless, described as both God and Goddess, with multiple aspects of his existance.

I'm Wiccan if that helps any.

God is the energy that connects us all in sentience.

blind faith causes hatred, seperation and war. if there is a god, i can't believe he/she would have wanted this.

I don't believe in god at all.

If there were evidence of a 'creator,' I'd be inclined to believe, of course.

If there is a god, he/she/it/whatever is a dick and isn't worth worshiping anyway.

Sapience and sentience existing solely as energy are nonsensical from a physics point of view. My view is that there is no evidence for god or gods existing, that there's no need for a belief in gods, and that belief in gods has caused far more pain and destruction than help, despite apologists saying 'but x says to love one another'. That is true. Many religions also call for pain and suffering to be brought on unbelievers and 'sinners' (who do nothing more than loving someone of the same sex).

I believe in the G-d of creation. The G-d of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. My belief is not based on a "blind faith" but on years and years of study and observation. Absulute faith requires absulate knowlage.
Have a great day.

If there is one, s/he loves us all, if not, oh well. I'll find out when I die. Agnosticism is easy!

Then you should be able to easily provide evidence.

I honestly don't know any more, I'm pretty sure I believe in a mix of Wicca and Christianity.
I've decided to take a little break from religion while I try to sort my beliefs out though because it seems like every time I pray for something positive to happen and even if I take steps to try and make that prayer come true...the exact opposite occurs.
