Just thought I'd check in with all the fine folks at EF. I'm new to all this, but, I assure you that once the dust settles from this departure, that I'll bring it in for a safe landing OK, enough of the pilot shtick...

Seriously, I've enjoyed lurking around, but, I want to start participating more.

Well, since you asked .... yes

Some may call this cheating, but, I'd like to think it's actually more challenging to join the club as the "sole manipulator of the controls", which is FAA parlance for "piloting the plane".

But, sole doesn't mean solo -- my wife and I have managed to pull it off twice while flying together in a private plane. The first time was somewhere over Nebraska and we were both awfully frisky. We scooted the seats back she was able to slide over and ride me. The second time was when we were trying to get pregnant -- while the timing was close, alas, we are fairly certain that flight was off by a week from conceiving.

True story.
