Well, when kids can set up fake accounts with a fake dob that doesn't have to be verified, it's not even worth it. I think if they want to be a family-friendly site, and ban porn-y things, they can and should. That doesn't make them lame for it.

There is a time and a place for everything. If you want to share stuff like that with your friends you can do that elsewhere. There are tons of other ways/places for you to do that. Let them have that safe place.

Facebook is garbage. I can't like anything that I actually like, so I basically said to Hell with them. I gave those assholes a try, and their stupid rules just didn't suit me. I still think it is vastly overrated and I don't understand the appeal of it at all.

I agree.

I'm not a huge Facebook fan, but a lot of young kids use it. It would be difficult to filter content by age.

I don't see why one has to "Like" dildos and porn on FB. I just see FB as a family place.

My FB account is for friends and family who live out of town and people I don't get to see that often. I also use it to send funny stuff to my kids. I also have my co-workers and the woman who owns the agency I work for as friends on Facebook. So, I see no reason to ever share any sex related stuff on it.

There are other avenues for this kind of stuff.

That's not Eden nor Facebook's problem if parents allow their children on facebook and let them. Personally, if I had a 12 year old on facebook, I would set up their account. So I don't see why that should matter. I agree facebook should have censor options. No different than someone coming to Eden, claim they are 18+, and use their parent's card.

I have everything for my Eden likes hidden so only I can see it on my timeline. Now sometimes some stuff will slip through but I will take it off my page when that happens. I have never had any issues with liking anything because my stuff is set to private.

I get sick of hearing people say stuff about not wanting their kids to see stuff that is inappropriate on facebook. You know, it was originally meant for ONLY college students. You had a have a college email address to have an account. People are CONSTANTLY posting pictures that are inappropriate or that drop the f-bomb and if people don't want their kids seeing it, then their kids shouldn't have facebook! It's just like people complaining about violent video games. If you have a problem with your kid playing those games, then don't let them play them! It states very clearly on the case for every game what the maturity level is, and it's not fair to take away an ADULTS rights just because you don't want your kids doing something.
