I met this girl.. I really liked her. She was so sweet.. shy.. and she seemed lonely, as if no one ever really took the time to talk to her.
I showered her with gifts.. Finally decided to date her, I mean why not?
We've been dating since Feb 15th.. and lately I notice I'm never around.. I don't take the time to try and speak to her, I don't check if shes online.. I don't even realize I'm doing it. Shes just.. not on my mind.

I wish I could make it work but I don't think I can.
Should I stay, and hope I can stop being so cold.. Or just leave and spare her the pain.. ._.

if you're no longer interested, you're no longer interested. you should never stay with someone due to pity. if you don't want to stay with her, you don't.

you should be in relationship because it's what is best for YOU.

If you're being very cold and not interested anymore, spare the both of you and just leave officially. You can always try to stay friends, but talk about it with her if that's something you want. If she doesn't want to be friends, then just drop it and walk away.

I know I wouldn't want someone to stay with me if they didn't like/ love me, it would hurt more then being alone.

Good for you recognizing that you were not behaving in a loving manner! So many times I meet people who know their boyfriend/girlfriend is cold and distant only to have the cold one try to explain away their indifference. There is no shame in admitting that you simply aren't interested in the person and wanting to be friends only.
