I'm a tomboy, but just because I'm a tomboy that doesn't make me automatically like pool or football. I don't like to do those sorts of things. Also, I'm just not a dress person. I can dress nice when I need to, but it wont be a dress. It'd probably just be a nice pair of pants and a shirt.
Though to me a pure "girly-girl" or pure "tomboy" doesn't exist.

I think that all of us, guys and girls alike, are best when we are well-rounded as humans. I love that my wife can be feminine, yet can also talk sports, help with construction, etc. She is all woman, but is not the type to avoid doing things that might mess up her nails/hair.

I would imagine it depends on the person and their preferences. some people are going to prefer a tomboy and some are going to prefer someone more girly, and that's okay. I don't think someone should try and act more like one or the other if that's not who they are to try and please a partner.
