I love to tell my girlfriend all of the things I enjoy about her all the time. And I love when she does the same. I do not think it ever gets old. I also feel like it keeps us close and intimate. How often do you compliment your partner?

I have become lax about the compliments--not because they are not there or I do not mean them--but because daily life can get 'too important' to remember to act on the little things that are actually more important and meaningful in the long run. I really have been working on this and am trying to give him compliments and let him know I appreciate him when a moment arrives. (It has to be genuine and specific or it is an obvious false confidence booster.)

Frequently - when I like someone, compliments come up fairly naturally in day to day conversation. If I'm thinking something complimentary about a partner, I tell them.

We do it daily. This past year we learned about a great communication technique called mirroring. There is a very specific dialogue to follow, and it's helped us talk calmly about things we used to argue about.
Anyway, part of our mirroring training (since it's so weird and different, and can be hard to remember about in the heat of a discussion) is an Appreciation Dialogue we do every night before bed. We tell the other 1 thing we appreciated about them that day. It helps us get more comfortable with the mirroring technique (so we can use it more effectively during disagreements) and it's a GREAT way to express our love and gratitude for each other.
It has been a WONDERFUL addition to our nightly routine and to our relationship.
