Anyone ever gone to nude beach?

I know BEING there, on a nude beach, is not a "sexual" thing, but I cannot help believe that seeing me, in the open, in public, without a stitch on, laying in the sunshine, is not going to give him some really good visual memories, to keep him happy for a while. It is human nature. (I think those totally denying that happens are lying to themselves). Anyway, I figure I am taking him on a trip to somewhere with some really nice nude beaches before the summer is over.
We SO need a vacation. Work has been brutal this year.
Anyway, I want to do this before I am too old, too wrinkled and look like an "old hippie, trying too hard to recapture her youth". Right now, even with a bit of a tummy and a couple years past my "modeling" days, I still think I can pull off a bikini, or less, and look fairly decent!!!! (So time's a wasting).

If you have been, can you tell me, where did you go, and did you feel comfortable? Any suggestions on NICE "nude" beaches? (Anywhere in the USA, CANADA or Mexico are probably fine, for us to get to for a short while).

Well, here I am again, saying Yes to "Have You Ever............(done something risque)............? I have been to a nude beach. And it is not of a sexual nature.
The beach I went to is just north of Santa Cruz, California - I used to live in Santa Cruz.
The beach is in the town limits of a very small town named Davenport which you'll miss if you blink, literally. They are both on Highway 1, California's Coastal Highway - beautiful!
There is no sign that marks the beach. And of course, it is hidden from public view. However, there is a mailbox that marks it: a huge mailbox with the American flag painted all over it.
I suggest you try it as well as drive up Hwy 1 as far north, and take it as far south as you want. It's absolutely beautiful! You won't be disappointed!

Heh we were on one in Tresport, France so that's not a real big help is it?

There are a LOT of older men and woman and MANY, MANY that are not at all in shape or down right BIG there. VERY few I saw had "hard bodies". Virtually none, in fact, at, of all places, CALIFORNIA's BLACKS BEACH (California, where everyone is supposed to be fit and tight? RIGHT..yah).

We travel to Europe with some regularity, actually. My hubby goes to France and England all the time for his work, and if needed I can go along as a tourist. Is this one in Tresport France nice??? I am going to look it up.

THANKS...that one is easily in reach, as we are in Cali for probably three months of the year..split up. We have been to Blacks Beach in San Diego a bunch of times. Many times it was fairly empty, and on weekends, it seems that more 90 years olds then 19 year old, hang out there, if you know what I mean.It was the GERIATRIC crowd of "old hippies", and that was just a bit TOO old a group for me.

I've been to one, most of the people wore swimsuits anyway. It seemed like the 60+ crowd were the ones who were nude and the younger 20 somethings were the ones who covered up.

I've been and love it...can't go enough. There is Sandy Hook in NJ (gunnison beach), but its a pain for a day trip to drive there, but it is nice. Miami has one, SF and parts of CA have them. I've been to resorts as well in US/MeX/Jamaica.

I am going to Mexico in a few weeks, but GF is too prude to go to nude resort/beach, but hopefully there will be a few topless europeans at least.

I think you will like it. It's surprisingly natural after you get past those initial 10 min. of hesitation. You blend in, unless you are one of the few wearing a bottom.

Never been to one, but know of a few...sadly, the general consensus (for the beaches I know about) is that they are only used by "old gay dudes".

Good luck finding a decent beach!

We have been once and can't wait to go again. We worked on our tans in our back yard before we left on vacation. We went to Couples Resort in Jamaica. Great experiance. There are all types of bodies on the beach and there is a bit of a freedom when you shed the clothes. I would not go to a clothing optional beach but a designated nude beach were no clothes are allowed. Puts everyone on the same level. Would also go to a beach that requires you to be a couple. Cuts down on the feeling of singles checking you out. Was great fun and would do it every chance I get.

We went recently to Hippie Hollow in Texas. Was a quiet weekday. There were mostly single, middle aged men there, but some men/women couples, and at least two women who were together. We were sort of irritated by the single men lurking around. They tended to hover wherever there was a naked woman present. Don't worry so much about body size issues. There were plenty of bigger people there and a few skinny ones. And age ranges from the mid 50s to 20s. It didn't take us too long to feel comfortable being there and shed our clothes. We had a blast and are looking forward to the next trip soon.

I'm not a fan of nude beaches - but if you want to try one in the US - go to Black's Beach in San Diego - it's just north of La Jolla under the Torrey Pines cliffs.

Haulover Beach in Miami is nice. Hippie Hollow (not a beach, but a clothing optional section of Lake Travis) in Austin is also fun.
