Happily Single?

No, I'm really miserable to be honest. Don't get me wrong, I like the ability to have casual sex with men, but since I'm such a needy individual, being in a relationship usually is more helpful than not. I just need to find someone that will tolerate my idiosyncrasies and typical bullshit.

Depends what day I'm asked. Some days I'm glad I'm single cause I only have to put up with myself. My money is mine and I don't have to answer to anyone. If I want to be lazy, I can!

Then other days I'll crave the closeness of a partner and naturally the sex! But I have been single so long, not even sure I could survive in a relationship.

Plus, I have come to the conclusion that I only really like the start of a relationship when everything is fun, exciting and new. I don't like it when we get too familar with each other.

Miserable, though nothing new as I've been this way my whole life. I am extremely shy and have been turned down quite a few times or been told the other person is involved already which is making me think there's something wrong with my appearance as I find it hard to believe that everyone I have asked is taken already. Either that or I have extremely bad luck with picking the single ones. I would love someone to be with me not to mention someone willing to do stuff with all the time instead of relying on all my flaky friends whom use me as their own personal ATM machine. Yes. My ex was a psycho. I don't want to take a risk with that for a while. I quite enjoy being single.

Sometimes I'm okay with it. But I get bouts of loneliness that are really hard to deal with at times, and it's not uncommon for me to cry because I'm longing for the kind of love I haven't felt yet. I've dated a couple of times, but I've never been in love.

It's even worse now that (for a few reasons) I very rarely get a good, proper hug from anyone. Perhaps it seems childish, I don't know, but one of the reasons I'd like a boyfriend is so I can have more hugs.

I did enjoy being single. Now it's been over 3 years that I've been single and I'm tired of it. I found someone I really cared about and fell in love with while studying abroad. We would have dated but it's hard to have a relationship with someone who lives all the way across the world Since I met him I have wanted to be in a relationship again but haven't met the right person yet.
