How long after submitting before assignments are accepted or rejected?

Are assignments ever automatically rejected for waiting too long? Is there a guideline for how long it usually takes before assignments are usually accepted or rejected? I submitted over two weeks ago and it is still "submitted." I submitted for something else as well thinking it might have been the toy I asked for but neither has been accepted or rejected. I realize this is probably the busiest time for the Eden staff, so I'm not pressuring, just wondering. In the past it was only a few days at most before the assignment was accepted or rejected.
