Have you ever had someone down-vote your review because you voted theirs lowly because it was not a useful review?

Is that ethical?

I have had it done to me and I never have down-voted someone's review to be mean. I have always been friendly and tried to be helpful. Can EF delete votes they feel are unfair?

Can something be done about this? I think it is very wrong and unethical.

That's not right. I appreciate all honest feedback. It too bad some people are not being respectful of others and the process. Hope it doesn't continue and I'm sorry this has happened to you.

It sucks but unfortunately it does happen. I don't think the staff deletes votes though. I agree that it's very wrong and unethical!

I also hate when someone down-votes a review simply because they aren't interested in the product.

I don't even know - I post my reviews and that's it. Hopefully the community is fair. I can't see what anyone has to gain by marking me (or anyone) down.

Unfortunately it's something that happens to everyone. No admin on Eden will be deleting votes that others have made. You can't prove that you were voted low by any certain person unless you saw them doing it, and even then, you can't prove that they didn't truly feel that your review wasn't as helpful in their opinion. One or two low votes aren't going to effect your rank all that much, and you should try hard to not let it bother you. Do the best job you can with your reviews and don't worry about the haters!

Great answer PoP. It is not a perfect system but it's what we have to work with at this time.

I've had a couple of votes that I don't think were "spiteful" necessarily, but it's like the person may have been to lazy to read the review.

I mean, I try to hit EVERY point about an item and always have pictures but there are some that vote just for the points so they click the first button their mouse lines up with.
