I would love to use the photo uploader more but the forced 500x500 sizing is a problem.

I think if there's too many pics, it was often better to just do a video...

I like pictures in reviews. I think the give a better idea of size of toys and other products. When someone holds a toy in their hand, up to a ruler or another object to compare size it really helps me make my decision. User photos are better than the ones provided on the product page. I like seeing photos of the bubble bath and such to see how much foam/bubbles it really gives. I feel my photos are helpful and serve their purpose well. I do NOT slack on my written review just because I add in photos. I really do my best when I write my reviews.
Probably the most I had in mine is 5. I take the size down to 600x450 and I feel that is neither too big nor too small.
If I felt that more needed to be used than I normally post, then I will add them.
I like to see what I am buying and scope out reviews looking for photos.
I feel I add my photos where they belong within the review.

Well, the really ironic thing was they don't have pictures in their lingerie reviews...know what I mean?

So I sorta laughed it off after a bit.
I can't really have lingerie with my current living situation but once I move to a place with my fiance I will be buying some. I admit, I hate my body and I'm afraid to post pictures but I just might because you do it . Right now I'm a size 14 which I know is about what the average woman is (or so says the magazines I read) so maybe it will help them out. I like looking at the reviews from the thin girls too and they look great but it has made me feel bad about myself and WISH I looked like that. But your husband loves you and my fiance loves me and they like to see us and really that should be all that matters! I think it takes guts to post photos in intimate clothing whether you are thin or plus size but it helps.

I'm sure you are every bit as beautiful as the "thin" girls you talk about. I don't always want to post pics in my reviews, but having a few unflattering pics of me on here isn't going to alter how I see myself and how I love my (size 16) body.

It's cliche as anything, but variety is the spice of life. If everyone sang the same note, there would be no harmony. Rock what you have!

Even as a size 6 I sometimes don't like how I look, I think it's just a part of life. I am positive that you are going to look great in your lingerie, and if you don't it's likely going to be because of the piece itself. Some are winners, some are losers. If you're not feeling hot in a piece of lingerie, don't feel bad about yourself because it's not you looking bad. It's a piece that just doesn't work for you.

And if you decide you don't want to post pictures, that's totally fine too. I totally understand not wanting to post pictures of unflattering pieces (from anybody), but I choose to put them up because I think that it might be able to help somebody else make an informed decision. It's just as important to know about the duds as it is to know about the winners.

Not me. I like photos and feel they tell more than words alone.

I really like to see something before I buy it, and I like lots of pictures, if they make sense along with the review's text. I put pictures in my reviews for anyone who wants to see more before buying something - I hope if you don't like them you can ignore them, knowing they might be helpful to other visually-oriented people. I never dreamed I might be offending someone!

I've read a few of your reviews. I think your pictures are excellent! As far as "offending" people with photos, I wouldn't worry too much about it. There will always be someone to complain about something in your review. Either you write too much, or you don't write enough. You have too many pictures, or you don't have any/enough. You're writing style is too serious, or too funny. You gave too many measurements, you didn't give enough.. and so on and so fourth. I think you're doing a great job and should keep up the good work!

Of course I'm guilty and I do add a lot of pictures, this thread was probably made about me, lol. I'm a photographer so I like my quality to show. My photos aren't of low quality and they do show MUCH more than just an average cell pic or point and shoot, so I like to show some photos in a more detailed manner.

I personally like photos that show great detail, especially in lingerie. Not everyone posts those and not everyone posts photos. That's their choice. I'm not going to rate a review badly because it doesn't have photos, even though I'd like to see some and I'm not going to rate one badly for posting too many photos.

I add information on my photos to help the person see what I'm talking about. I don't know how many times that I've looked at a product, bought it and when it arrived; it was nothing like the photo. That is what made me start putting information on my photos.

I spend a lot of time on my reviews and taking a "pic" is just the tip of the iceberg.

* Another thing is when my photos "break up" the wording is because I'm talking about a certain part of the product, so I usually show the photo right under the wording, so the person will know exactly what I'm talking about.

* Just read that this thread is a year old.....lol

I agree, it is better to take photos in order to emphasize those points that are not specified in the description of the toy.

Pictures are very helpful, but to many pictures are a distraction from the valuable information posted in the review.

I like pictures a lot, but agree that too many can make scrolling really unwieldy. They're awesome for showing toy dimensions, interesting packaging details, or pointing out things on the toy not mentioned in the description. I also think it's interesting to see toys in the average persons house, with the average person's camera, instead of just in a polished listing picture. They should probably be kept to just ones that serve a purpose, though.
