Who do you rank?

Contributor: wetone123 wetone123
I read reviews of products I'm interested in. Mostly rabbits, glass, lingerie, silicone. I also like funny ones just for a chuckle. Plus I have found some reviewers that I follow because I respect their opinions or love their writing style.
I find myself not rating the ones I don't like. I know this is wrong, but I can't seem to bring myself to down grade anyone's work. I only rate the ones I like.

I rate what I read.
9 times out of 10 it's on a product or class of products that I am interested in. Not the person writing them.

I read reviews on products I'm interested in, or if the title really grabs my attention. I try to always vote on every review I read, and leave a comment explaining why I voted that way. I don't search for certain people and read their reviews just to vote for them or anything.

I read new reviews and reviews of products that look interesting. I rate most reviews that I read, but if there's a review I don't really like based on style I will refrain from voting. If a review is missing a lot of information I will give it a lower rating along with a comment kindly suggesting improvements, but if all information is included and I just didn't like the style I have a hard time rating someone's work poorly.

Is there an other option? I rank most reviews that I read however usually only if they are exceptional or useful. I never want to intentionally hurt someones profile so I won't vote if the reviews are lacking . Concerning which reviews I read, it is usually a new product or style I am interested in and value their opinions.

I read the reviews randomly as I'm skimming around for toys that interest me. I don't notice when they were posted. If there are several reviews of a toy and I recognize the name of someone whose writing I've enjoyed then I'll probably read that one. Also any name that tickles me either of the writer or the title of the review.

Sometimes I'll read all the reviews of a product and rate them "useful, somewhat useful and REALLY useful" in relationship to each other. But any review I bother to skim usually gets a good if it's cogent and articulate. I'm disappointed I can't give extra points to the ones that are brilliantly written.

I read as many of the new reviews that I can and some of the older ones that are on a product that I am interested in and I rate and comment on all of the ones I read.

Same here. If I don't rate a review, it's only because I simply forgot to scroll up & do so after commenting. It doesn't matter to me who's written them. It's about me being interested in the product or what someone has to say about it.

However, if I read a review I don't find too useful, I have a hard time giving that less than useful vote, so sometimes I'll skip rating those.

I can't say that I read all the reviews I can. If I'm interested in a product I will read the review, and I rate all of the ones I read.

I read reviews of products I'm interested in, and most of the time I'll rate them. For reviews that were really badly written, I'll just skip it.

I read reviews of products that I'm interested in and generally rate them. However, if the reviewer is highly rated, but I didn't like the review, I will generally not vote, for fear of retaliation. If the reviewer is not highly rated, I will more likely vote what I really believe the review should be rated, but sometimes I will still avoid voting because I don't want to hurt the reviewers feelings.

I will also read and rate the reviews of my friends on EF. I have to admit that if I don't feel like I can give them a high rating, then I will just avoid voting. Fortunately, my friends generally write very good reviews.

The options don't quite cover how I work. I look at the new reviews and read about products that catch my eye. If I'm uninterested in a product, I won't read the review.

I try to rate the reviews I read, but if my rating would be negative and I don't feel like giving concrit, I'll skip rating.

I usually read at least 6 on the reviews page each day, depending on how much time I have. I rate almost all of them, but if I find the review totally useless (not being rude) then rather than give a bad rank I'll just leave a kind comment with some tips and I make sure I'm 100% nice about it. I dont want to make someone feel uncomfortable or that they're job was not appreciated, but sometimes a little guidance is needed, but there's never any reason it can't be done in a totally friendly way.

Now I do make a specialf effort to seek out my friends reviews and those who've been kind enough to read mine. I also read reviews for anything that sparks my interest.

I read many new reviews, and I read reviews for products that I am interested in. Of course I'll read reviews of those I follow, and I'll read my friend's no matter what!

I do, however, rate accordingly. I will not give a rating that I feel someone does not deserve (up rating them) and I won't always rate if there were many errors or it is a very low rating, unless I've seen several reviews by the same user and they are all poor reviews (lack of info, etc) in which case I will rate, or maybe just leave feedback about how to improve.

I don't like to rate if I don't care for the review due to lack of information, because often people don't think to add certain things into reviews starting out and just need a little help, and it doesn't seem fair to rate them based on early work. I try to be fair with my ratings.

I read the reviews of products that interest me and always give a rating. Generally, no matter the persons rank or if I have liked some of their past reviews, I rate the current review based on how useful I found it. If the review is extremely useful or useful I leave a comment, on the chance it is not either of those I rate but do not comment because I do not want to take the chance anything I write may come across as negative.

I tend to rate alot of reviews. I try to vote for the new reviews that are written, regardless if it's from a newcomer or someone that's advanced. Also, I rate for products that are on my wishlist because those reviews are how I choose if I want the product or not.

I read and rank all the reviews i read. They're usually pretty random, since I'm fairly new and dont really have any good friends or contact on this site yet.
