My fiance and I really want to try anal. However, I'm a little nervous about it and definitely want something that allows me to "ease in" to things. What's a good starting toy/kit for us to purchase?? And, we're also open to tips to making the experience as enjoyable as possible for both of us!

My first anal toy was the Njoy Pure Plug. It's very small, very comfortable and I love the smoothness. It took just a dab of lube to get it in and it stays in fairly well.

I'd definitely recommend Icicles #2.

It's cheap (even when it's not on sale) and has graduated sizes. BUT you'd have to be careful and not put it in too far.

Start with fingers and plenty of lube. You first need to learn to relax the anus so fingers is good place to start. Make sure you nails are trimmed or use a glove. After you are comfortable with fingers then look to toys that are the same size or slightly bigger. You will need to slowly work you way up to his size or the toy you would most like to play with.

ToyTimeTim said it best: start out with fingers and lube, lube, lube! And if you experience pain or discomfort, then you need to stop and either try again later, get some more lube, or just try to relax some more. Relaxation is key.

I only recently started with anal play myself. So far, the first bead on Flexi Felix is the only toy to go into my butt. The first bead is a very manageable size and slides in without a fuss. But the sensation of it "popping" as you remove it (as it the point of anal beads) can be a little shocking, so keep that in mind if you take a look at Felix. Me, I rather enjoy it, shocking or not.

I don't like to repeat my posts but it seems we have a wave of newcomers to this very fine subject. This toy isn't too slim it's just wrong as it will not really be a proper exercise tool for the sphincter muscle. It barely widens it so the muscle will get accommodated very quickly, if you pull it out there will be very mild if any sensation at all. It has no veins, ridges or bumps so it will barely stimulate the nerve endings in your anus area. It is not curved so it will not hit your g-spot unless you twist and angle it in weird ways. I'm recommending the toys listed below, all tried myself and with my girls so. I hope it will help.

Repost:

I guess I can give some advice about first-time products in this specific area. I'm a big fan for life-like materials and have been using them from the start, I have to say that with enough care and hygiene there is no need for the "bacterial" paranoia you might encounter here.

So that's the list of products I'd personally recommend:

This was the first product we have bought together with my Ex-Wife, in my opinion the best start but you grow out quickly:
Blush UR3 anal starter – probe

The silicone alternative is:
Sedeux Please

To grow up I'd suggest:
Pure Skin Player jr

The silicone alternative is:
VIP Super Soft

For Butt Plugs:

The best training of all times (after you grow out of the beginners toys):
Triple Ripple

Best Butt Plug (I guess many will agree):
Ryder

And finally my personal favorite among plugs:
Gapers Organic

Generally speaking that's my product advice. For lubes you have to look for yourself what suits you more. Just don't use silicone lube on silicone toys, it really kills them. The rest as usual, hygiene, foreplay, foreplay, lube -> and plenty of fun
