I suppose if the Hitachi counts as something not meant for masturbation, then absolutely, yes. When I was younger, before I really bought my first dildo, I once made a dildo out of clay (you know, the kind you bake for 20 minutes in a regular oven?), and covered it with a condom to use. (Not sure if I should have admitted that...but at least I made it sort of safe!) However, now that I have a decent amount of sex toys, I don't really use anything else when masturbating.
