L-Arginine does not *cause* herpes. An imbalance, where Arginine is greater is greater than Lysine, creates a habitat for for herpes, at least the cold sore variety. Both naturally occur in food, and both have their own nutritional values.Search for "Lysine Herpes" and "L-arginine herpes".
Although L-Arginie may be related to outbreaks in people with the herpes simplex virus, it is also believed to be a vasodialator and contributes to blood flow and can aid with erectile dysfunction. Always talk to a doctor before using a product to help with ED. Though L-Arginine is one of the last ingredients listened in the Libido Lift lubricant so it is likely it has a very small content of this protein.
On a side note, Lysine can be bought in small tubes as an ointment at a local drug store and, for me, it's the best product for helping get rid of oral herpes (cold sores/fever blisters) faster.
