I'm surprised there aren't other colors that take into account a color's ability to impact mood. For instance, red has been shown to increase appetite (both for literal food but also in sexual situations), green is a soothing/relaxing color, etc.

You've got to assume pink sells well. I mean, even Tantus, who are incredibly artistic and creative, sell a bunch of toys only in swirly pink or swirly purple.

Sigh.

In a lot of cases it could just be manufacturers not being creative, though.

I have no idea why so many toys are pink. Personally, pink isn't my fav color. I like when they have really neat colors, I don't know why. But I like when they are bright and different.

Marketing. If a sex toy is for women, they'll make it in pink or pastels. If it's for men, you'll see more black, navy, burgundy, etc.

Kinda sucks for women who prefer the darker colors, but that's life.

I think there are a lot of pink ones because they are lazy, and probably because they do so much volume in toy sales that it's really inexpensive to do pink. I have to say I wish there were more that were different colors.

This used to bother me, because I used to hate the color. But recently, pink has been growing on me, and now I'm thankful many sex toys are pink... Even though I still don't own one that is ^^;;

I don't think pink is the color for ALL girls, but pink is my absolute fav color, especially neon pink and to be honest, if a toy's pink or purple I'm going to be more inclined to want it. I think toys come in plenty of diff. colors. Usually if it comes in pink or purple it comes in black or others too so I dont see why people feel there's no options for them if they hate pink and purple. I personally love it. All of my toys are bright colors and most are pink and purple except my bright orange Cleo.

I think it is lack of creativity but also, they buy their ingredients in mass quantities and for them to purchase twenty colors vs. one color and have the necessary equipment and space to produce more colors would probably put some of them out of business.

I like pink a lot for certain toys, but for some I prefer black. I like it when toys come in really fun colors though - purple, glow-in-the-dark, turquoise.

I went with the "color for girls" and lack of creativity options... the first is sarcastic, though. Pink works for some toys but I wish it weren't the default color, and I love seeing more variety in colors and designs. Someday I'd love a toy box full of rainbow.
