Dark Colored Vulva?

It's perfectly normal for the vulva to be more darkly colored than the surrounding skin, especially during arousal.

I am very fair skinned, and my vulva is a bright pink/red when I am aroused, and a pale pink (still darker than elsewhere) when I am not.

I would guess yours are normal, though if you ever have a check-up down there, you could certainly ask about it.

I don't think it's a problem, it's just different from the "ideal" shown in most porn - which came about because labia were considered obscene and they wanted to make them more discreet than they are generally in nature.

I think it's a shame that some women feel this is ugly and get surgery because they feel their normal, healthy labia minora are deformed or bad. I support people's right to modify their own bodies, but I feel that porn and the media does not send a healthy image of what a women's genitals may look like. :/

I'd also like to echo that it's perfectly normal and natural for labia to be a wide array of different colors, but that you can ask your doctor at your next checkup if you think there's something wrong.

Perfectly normal. I'm liquid-paper pale and mine are (is?) twice as dark as my other skin.

Not only normal, particularly for Asian women but quite attractive as well.
