I also have a DivaCup and use it regularly. I LOVE it! I actually had it leak for the first time during my last period - it was over night, and I probably should have emptied it a little closer to bed time. But when it leaked, it was just a little, not like when my tampons leaked in the past. It's simple, neat and clean, and I just love it.
I can't stand them, personally. They irritate the inside of my vagina and I didn't like the whole process of having to either always have my purse on me to keep baby wipes in so I could wipe it and my hands off, or have to make do with public restroom toilet paper. It just wasn't beneficial for the things I do in my life. It might be better for women who are constantly on the go and need to use something for longer periods of time than I do. I had the Diva cup, btw.
I've never tried them, I've been considering it lately, but I'm just a little nervous about trying something new like that. Although from the medical standpoint they do seem a bit more healthy for your body than the tampons I wear, I just have these fears of using new things like that. I remember fears of tampons as well, so who knows, maybe one day I'll try them
I love my DivaCup! It works wonderfully for me. Picking up my new one tomorrow.
I love mine, too. I've never had a leak, and it's never come close to being full. One time I left it in for a full 24 hours (they recommend emptying it every 8-12) and it was maybe just under half full, and I have a pretty heavy flow at the start of my period.

I'm sold!
For some reason, tampons leak through for me before the entire thing is even saturated. It's like everything goes down one side. I'm tired of waking up in the middle of the night like "uh-oh!!" because I can immediately feel that I had a leak. Overnight pads are stupidly huge.
And I'm always forgetting to run to the store and grab more tampons.

Oh I know, I used to hate that about tampons! One whole side of the tampon would be totally wasted! Then when you pull out the tampon it can be painful because it absorbs your natural lubrication as well. The menstrual cups don't do that either, which is nice.
I love mine (Diva). I've had it leak on me twice. Both times when it was new and I didn't create enough of a seal. I used to have to change it every 6-8 hours before I got my IUD. Now I can go easily 24 hours without changing it. I did a nude photoshoot once with it in and never had any problems.
Because of it, I often forget I'm on my period. I can leave it in longer than any tampon. It doesn't leak, but it can overflow if I'm too lazy to empty it in the first day or two. It's nice to have something that works overnight, and to never have to worry about toxic shock syndrome!

I love my Lunette

Plus (in regards to overnights) it's nice to not have to do the "HOLY FUCK" backwards shuffle off the bed in the morning.

Haha, I actually like those overnight pads. The Always ones are thin enough that they don't bother me to wear overnight, or all day for that matter. I even convinced a friend recently with them. She was a religious tampon user and always complained about the horrible cramps she got on her period, then she was out of tampons and needed to use some of the pads we had at my house. Low and behold, almost no cramping, more comfortable, and she's happier lol.
All that aside, I never liked tampons, so I don't think I'd be a huge fan of the Diva Cup. I know a lot of women think they're very comfortable and super easy and convenient, but I like my pads lol.

*high five* I like the Stayfree ultra thin regular unscented with wings. That cottony cover on the top keeps my skin from being irritated and it quickly pulls nasty stuff away from the body. They're also like half the cost of Always.

Hmm, I'll have to go give them a shot. I've always been torn on wings on pads tho. Most of the ones I've used don't seem to hold the parts that end up moving around in place lol.

These work really well, so well that I can sleep with them and not have to worry about wearing shorts or something to keep the panty close to my body. They were my saving grace because I was seriously having so many adverse reactions to every product imaginable that I desperately wished I could have ordered an hysterectomy.

Have you tried the U by Kotex stuff? That's all I use. My flow is so heavy that I end up using pads and tampons at the same time. It's horrible! I also like the slender pads made for "tweens" . . . because I'm a tiny girl and regular pads bunch up.
I've also noticed that I seem to have a sensitivity to certain brands of products. I hate it.
I haven't tried one but would like to. I get soooo tired of tampons and pads.
I hear you! I am thinking about it. How often do you get a new one? I found the answer, on the diva cup site, says that everyone women is different but once a year is recommended I want one. Worth a try!
Mine's a Lunette, and I love it. It had a real learning curb to to get used to it, but once I did, I'm never going back to pads. I save a ton of money, it's good for the environment, much more body friendly, and I barely know I'm on my period except when I have to empty it.
I have extremely heavy periods, and I have to empty it every 6-8 hours for the first day or so, then every 12 for the rest of my period, so it saves me a ton of trouble and time.
The one thing I suggest is that I cut the tab off mine and turned it inside out, it's much easier to insert and more comfortable to wear that way.

That might be nice, I normally plan my period underwear to be tight and black lol.

I haven't. To be fair, I haven't tried a tampon since I was in high school and wanted to try and keep going during the swimming portion of gym even though I could have just told the teacher I was on the rag and sat out. After I spent the whole time worrying that the tampon was falling out I went right back to pads and just sat out lol. However, I will keep the Kotex U in mind if I ever do need tampons
a friend highly recommends them, although I don't know if this would be something I'd use with my lighter flow...tampons work pretty good for me. But, yes, I have heard good things about them.
