lol, I've been in awkward moments like that actually, its weird. hmm, interesting. There was a store i went into before that only had hard plastic dildos and lingeres with a few fuzzy cuffs and lubes, I was disappointed with them and their price range. Ironically enough though it was by a church shop :p made me giggle.

most are unfortinately, my biggest pet peeve is the battery options. Not that I know of, besides "spencers" thats in the mall, but thats not really a sex shop.

Another Fun Fact about church and sex: the Bible Belt has more sex shop advertising than the rest of the US put together.

I did nearly wet myself while driving through Georgia and saw a double billboard - sex shop ad on one, and sausage factory on the other.

I have a few nearby, but man, are they expensive. Generally 50% more for everything than EF, and not nearly the selection, especially on better quality toys. I shopped there for years before finding EF, though, but since... I may go in to get a visual on something, and if I like it, just go home and order it. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but I'm not a fan of gouging! Also, I've always had a better shopping experience, and better customer service (BY FAR) with EF!

There's one within walking distance that I sometimes visit, but it's more video-oriented, it isn't woman-oriented, and the toy quality is so-so. There are two great adult stores within driving distance -- It's My Pleasure and She-Bop. They're both amazing stores.

I have a sex store in my area, but it's about 20 miles away and it's really not that great. They have a few high-end toys and a bunch of over-priced novelty items. Lots of porn, lots of lingerie and random glass pipes and incense. It's a strange store, I definitely prefer my online anonymity.
