I just might. Especially since joining EF has already had me push my previous boundaries and helped me be more comfortable with myself. Writing some erotica can't be all that far behind, lol

It sounds like you had a pool of your students. I would have found that selection process very difficult. Didn't you?

When I write erotica, I take a look at the story without the sex scenes. If the story can exist without the sex, then I know like I haven't done my job. The sex should be integral to the plot and the plot shouldn't be able to stand alone without the erotic component.

I got in plenty of stories from all over the world. Germany, Spain, Thailand, and on and on. So many voices, so many viewpoints. The most rewarding part of the collection was putting them in a sense of order, making them sing, like a string of notes ... more
Exactly...I'm feeling you with that. It's exciting when you can take things that may appear different on the surface but actually with careful arrangement are sooo well connected....Like a puzzle. It's very fulfilling when you can do that.

I agree with you, Kristina. One cannot stand without the other.

If you're thinking about it, you will write it. Might as well start now!

I didn't do a call for stories. I went to authors I knew and a few of my students and asked them to contribute. This was my first editorial project and I really had a specific vision in terms of my audience and message. I really discovered that liked the editing and pushing my contributors to really let themselves go. And the process of putting in order was interesting. That was probably the most difficult because I wanted a strong ebb and flow to the collection. It was really a lovely experience.

I like that idea. Thanks. It might be hard to make it work, but I'll sure try.

Well, maybe when I'm not almost out the door for the night, but maybe by the time we meet again I'll have something. At least an idea maybe.

Isn't it awesome to have the viewpoints of the authors themselves? I'm loving the insights into these two books that Cole and Lori are providing! (And Teddy!)

No, they were each hand selected based on work I'd read in class. And they each delivered marvelously! I'm so proud of them!

Haha, no. Not my ass. It has been temporarily borrowed.
