Are you a virgin after you masturbate?

I think it depends on the opinions of the person. from a physical aspect, yes masturbation ends virginity. from an emotional or mental aspect, no it doesn't, but that is just my opinion on the matter.

It's a really gray area; I've decided that virginity is lost when you have your first orgasm, regardless of whether you're with a partner or not.

I think virginity is up to interpretation, but masturbation does not make you lose your virginity

You are still a virgin unless you have sex with a partner. I believe virginity is more of an emotional concept then a full on physical thing.

viginity is penetration with another

I think that virginity is a "funny concept" and that if you have had oral sex you have lost your "oral virginity", vaginal- "vaginal virginity" - etc.

How about cunnilingus? Definitely sexual activity with another.

I really like the picture painted by the saying that to lose your virginity is to "have your cherry popped". But it seems that's opened up to metaphorical virginities of all other kinds. Such as, being an anal virgin or a Toy virgin. There's this whole basket of cherries to be popped! Some girls will have many cherries popped but never pop their "girl cherry". Lesbians will likely have a number of cherries pop but never pop their "boy cherry". If someone decides to have a threesome, then they pop another cherry. It opens things up to make every new experience exciting, not just the one cherry.

I'm of the camp that virginity's a psychological/emotiona l thing than a yes-or-no physical thing. Would I say I'm a virgin? Probably, because I've never had sex with anyone. But through masturbation and self-reflection, I have a pretty good idea what I do and don't like, regardless of lack of sexual experience.

Depends on your point of view.

If you break the Hymen, then technically you are not a virgin.

But if you consider loosing your virginity as having sex, then yes, you are still a virgin.

I agree with most of the other posters, if you only have had sex with yourself...you're a virgin...maybe deflowered, but a virgin still.

yes you have to have sex not to be an virgin point blank .You can brake your hymen from useing tampons if that happen don't mean your not a virgin.

I think you can remain a virgin until you have actual sex for the first time. I think it's weird that girls think they can stay a virgin by having anal, but hey, to each their own..

YES, YES, YES!
I don't know what would make people think they aren't. That would mean we all were NEVER really virgins. Some people start masturbating at 3 years old. I've even read studies that said babies do it in the womb. I don't care if your using a dildo or just clit masturbation. It also annoys me that people think that a women who doesn't have a hymen she is not a virgin...Some women aren't born with one. GOOOOOOD NESSSS!

I count losing your verginity when you have sex/make love with another living thing that has a heart beat and a soul! Anything else.... DOESN'T COUNT (in my eyes)

I think its different for guys a girls. If a guy uses a pocket pussy to masterbate and he's a virgin once he's finished he's still a virgin. Plus I think it depends with the girl what kind of masterbation we're talking about. I mean if she penetrates herself with a toy and penetration pops her cherry it's still penetration and that cherry's been popped so that would mean she's no longer a virgin. It has to be intact to remain a virgin.

I feel like you're a virgin until you're with someone else, not a toy.

I believe it is your first sexual experience, whether you first masturbate or have intercourse of any kind.

well, I think you're a virgin if all you do is masturbate. I think that after having sex with another person causes you to lose your virginity.

The problem is that the hymen (or cherry, as it is sometimes called) has absolutely nothing to do with virginity. Some girls are born without one, and some girls tear it from other types of physical activity. If loss of the hymen equals loss of virginity,a girl could be born not a virgin or lose her virginity from gymnastics. Conversely, a lesbian who has never been penetrated would still be considered a virgin if her hymen were still intact even if she's had many sexual partners. I think having sex with another person constitutes a loss of virginity.

In my opinion, you only lose your virginity after having any kind of intentional sexual contact with another person.

Yes you're still a virgin. To me, losing your virginity means having penis inside vagina penetration! Some even think using a tampon or just starting your mentrual cycle for the first time means youre no longer a virgin. I hate that.
