Few questions if you'd like to answer- Do you still own the sex toy? Did the material cause any nasty side effects such as itching, rash, or burning? Do you consider the material at this present time to be "safe"? Would you buy the toy over again after learning new things about sex toy materials?
The Turbo Glider, baby! After it died, I bought another one, along with several other toys; this particular TG has been in service for almost 2 years now.
It was my beloved Magic Wand. I'll definitely buy another if it dies. Maybe you meant first insertable toy. That would be Mr Softee, a rubber toy. Many people don't like rubber, but I have no problem with it. I still like Mr Softee. No side effects for me.
It was a double bullet that died after two years of putting in some very hard work. It has been replaced and, to this day, bullets are still one of my favorite toys ever.
The Bgood was actually my first purchased toy, and I got the jelly sleeve to mix it up some. Still love the Bgood, but knowing what I know now, I would have opted for something less questionable than a jelly sleeve.
A waterproof plastic wireless bullet that ran on watch batteries. It died in about a month, but I've always had something along those lines in my collection. I usually hate watch batteries, but such toys are extremely easy to hide and travel with. I never had any problems with the material, and still think it's pretty darn safe.

Hard plastic is pretty safe, it's just the soft materials you need to watch out for.

Exactly! Any time I get worried, I just swab plastic toys with rubbing alcohol. I guess saying I believe plastic is safe is kind of redundant, I was just trying to answer the questions from the first post.
I just wish my material choice for my second toy had been as good. Not just any jelly, but super cheap, poor quality jelly. I still shudder in horror that I ever put that inside me without a condom.
I dont recall which came first, but my fiance bought a jelly dildo and a jelly vibrating dildo. I barely used the dildo and the vibrator I didn't really start using until a year or so later when the vibrating portion fell out...still able to vibrate! It was that that got me to discover clit vibrators were wonderful things.
You know, reading this list I'm actually happy for some of you to have had *good* first toys...lucky! It seems like us unlucky ones had lots of malfunctioning jelly and plastics. Thank goodness for variety!
My first was a horrible ivory colored slimline vibe. It took so many D batteries and I just couldn't figure it out. It wasn't very strong, despite the D's, and it looked like it was insertable but I never could get off on it. I moved with it probably 3 or 4 times before I threw it away.

Yikes...that sounds like the maglite of vibrators! Good riddance. These shoppers today don't know how lucky they are!
My first toy was a lurid pink jelly vibrator with glitter in it. It hasn't melted yet, but it's definitely changed texture with age. I keep meaning to get rid of it, I haven't used it in ages.

My first toy was the Pink indulgence glass wand. I still have it tucked away at the back of my closet. I liked the shape and contours but I'm not too excited about the hardness of glass (especially after owning other dildos made of pure silicone.
My first was a Tantus silicone dil, and I don't even remember the name of it now. Unfortunately our stupid dog wandered into the bedroom one day, grabbed it off the table, and rendered it unusable in short time. Now we know that #1 Tantus silicone does *not* stand up to vigorous chewing, and #2 it doesn't make dogs sick either.

I really didn't understand the voting. My wife absolutely loves glass and steel (Pure Wand) - after that, silicone works the best, but we do have some jelly models. If she is sensitive to one I make sure to use a condom on it. Don't care for the flesh-like models,
My first was a latex rabbit vibe. I was still a virgin, (until recently), so no way that thing could fit! Plus the vibrations were extremely weak and being that there's a chance I have nerve damage, it did nothing for me. (I need strong stuff.)
I later picked up a mini chrome vibrator for external use and had my first oragasm at 21--nothing could never get me off all my teenage years! It made me think I was one of those very unlucky duds until I finally did and it was such a shock.
I might still have the bullet, but the cock ring fell apart years ago. I avoid jelly materials now of course, but at the time it was pretty hard to get anything else. My girlfriend loved it ... Still haven't managed to find a replacement that comes close to working as well. (We pretty much gave up at some point. Now we use a clit vibe such as Layaspot or Lily during intercourse. Last time we had sex she used her Gigi on her clit, which worked better than I would have expected.)
Plastic bullet. The cheap kind that I got in a kit with a weird blue cock ring that never appealed to me and never worked for us in the bedroom.
Insertable toy, kegel exercising balls made of god knows what kind of material. I don't even remember checking for that information, I was young and ignorant. I threw those out by the way.
