Bridal Shower - dvd by Femme Productions - review by Sex Student

Candida Royals film about a bridal shower, where the ladies share their sexual problems and fantasies, is best suited for first time porn viewers.

The sex scenes are fair at best. I only give them a fair rating due to the fact the actors/actresses are still obviously just acting. Sometimes, and mainly due to the more clit friendly positions used, the actresses almost appear to be enjoying themselves but stop short of those real leg quivering grinding orgasms. So in the end it is still just a hired cast acting as if they are really enjoying themselves, but in a more subdued fashion.

The dialogue was corny and unbelievable; one must remember the cast is in porn because they really cannot believably play a character role. Then when the sex scene finally did start the foreplay was more situational, such as seductive eating, spreading food on each other, stuff you may enjoy if your are actually the participant but not necessarily watching the movie. The “before” portions of the scenes where so drawn out, my wife actually fell asleep.

I felt as if this movie was created with an agenda to prove a “porn” movie could be made with a “softer” side. So as far as lets say “gonzo porn” is to the pure, physical, man only pleasing side of porn, Candida Royals went to the other side and in the process lost the little bit of edginess it needed to really get the hormones moving. It was sort of like watching a day time soap opera that left nothing to the imagination. Basically if the imagination is taken away, then it better be real or shocking to be entertaining.

Maybe, just maybe some day instead of 70 to 90 minutes of either standard porn, or this type of softer drawn out stuff where the scenes last and last, somebody will make a movie where the cast is actually having real orgasms. Real orgasms, not just “cumming”, set in 6-12 minute scenes.

I mean come on we watch porn for the sex not the plot, actually the plot should be the sex.
