Billy Wand Or Billy Club?

I was really hoping for something more pleasant. The look of the toy is fab and feeds into a good "bad" fantasy. But it isn't comfortable without a condom. It's too sharp to play with for more than a short period of time. If you do want to use it vaginally, make sure you have really great control of your pelvic floor.

Use

The Billy wand is 10 1/2 inches of cold, hard, dark blue glass with a distinct handle and round retrieval grip. There are stimulating bumps along two sides. The bumps run all the way down the insertable portion of the probe. It can be used both anally and vaginally, though the latter may be too much for some. The glass is great for temperature play as well.

Material / Texture

The Billy Wand is made of borosilicate glass or pyrex. It holds temperature very well. And it's also sterilizable by boiling for 3 minutes or soaking in a 10% bleach solution. It's a great material for both vaginal and anal play as a result. Since it is glass, it has no scent to it and it isn't porous. It's very firm. It is not a realistically shaped dildo; it is shaped like a billy club with raised bumps along the sides.

The texture, with a condom, adds pleasant stimulation anally. We only used this with condoms. However, I found that they were overwhelming vaginally if you held your pelvic floor in a somewhat tight manner. I'm not talking about really tight. But also not loose. When I was loose, it was okay. They were actually quite painful and we had trouble moving the wand at all.

Design / Shape / Size

The shape is pretty good for being able to keep a good hold and control over the probe. Visually, it also inspires a bit of a BDSM feel to it. It would make a nice addition to an array of tools and dildos. It is a fair sized probe, measuring 1 1/2 inches in diameter. It feels larger because of the firmness. It's also 10 1/2 inches long and dark blue. You certainly could travel with this. It doesn't look like a sex toy, but I would put it in checked baggage personally.

Performance

The look is the best part of this toy in my opinion. Though my husband certainly did enjoy it for anal play, I found that the bumps became quite painful when I tightened my pelvic floor to even a moderate amount. The ring of the handle allowed a great deal of control with anal probing. The weight was also good for a little bit of a smack on the ass before starting.

Care and Maintenance

Care is quite easy with the Sasha Grey Billy Wand. It's borosilicate glass, so it is boilable (for 3 minutes) or you can soak in a 10% bleach solution. You can store it in the foam that it came packed in or elsewhere. I would advise that you at least use a padded bag of some kind as this is glass. Because it is glass, the wand is compatible with any lube.

Packaging

The Sasha Grey Billy Wand comes in a sleek and tasteful black box with an image of the toy on it. The box is just large enough to contain the wand and the small amount of foam packaging that is designed to keep the glass snug and secure. The box isn't garish or obvious and packaging is minimal. Seeing as the toy looks like a billy club, the picture on the front wouldn't give much of anything away. You could use the box for storage, with the foam, or you can just use the foam part. The box would be perfect for gift-giving.

I ended up buying this for the very reasons you disliked it. I love reading negative reviews for the fact that not all of us are wanting the same thing in a toy. I wanted something painful. I'm a masochist and was instantly draw to your reports of it being "too sharp" to play with. Lemme' tell you this thing feels like shards of glass in my ass and it's awesome.     • I really want this Sasha Grey wand but the stem scares me. I feel like glass with thin stems would break easily during use... Like if you make a mistake or have a strong orgasm...

      Are these safe or am I just paranoid?
    • These are borosilicate (Pyrex) glass and are extra durable. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
