The Flower Gem lends itself best to beginners (or those who love smaller anal toys!) who tend to use their plugs mostly while sitting. The Flower Gem will not be the best choice for public play or lots of movement, but it can be a cute, decorative piece for someone who wants to insert the plug, enjoy the heft and weight of it, and show off the beautiful flower gem at the base.

Users should be aware that the plug is made from rigid metal. This means that the size measurements have no "give" to them. However, between the easily-lubricated metal and the tapered tip, most beginners will have no problem inserting this toy if given a bit of time to adjust to it.

Metal can be used for temperature play as well. Leave this plug in a bowl of hot or cold water, and enjoy as the metal takes on that particular temperature. Make sure to test the temperature on the inside of the wrist before inserting it into someone.

The Flower Gem plug is made from zinc alloy. While not being steel or stainless steel, the heft and the material feel very similar to steel. In fact, without being told that it was Zinc Alloy, you'd probably assume it was steel. Like steel, the material is entirely odorless and scentless. It also shouldn't have any allergy concerns.

Zinc is a hefty material as well. In this case, all of the weight of this small plug is located in the internal, insertable portion. This lends itself to the plug's design; the weight helps keep the plug inside the body, and it regularly reminds the wearer about the presence of the plug.

A smooth surface is important to any toy that's going to penetrate any sensitive area. The entire surface of the insertable area is smooth and has no rough edges. The edges of the flower gem edge, however, are noticeably not-smooth. The gem side of the flower gem external portion is textured, but not rough, and the alloy side (that presses against the body) is entirely smooth. The edges along the flower gem's external portion have noticeable roughness, though. This roughness is noticeable and irritating during use.

Following a standard formula for most butt plugs, the Flower Gem looks like a standard, slender plug. The plug offers a tapered tip that allows for easier insertion with flares into the widest point of the plug. Past that widest point, the plug drops into the most slender portion which functions as the retention area to help keep the plug within the body. Outside of the retention area, there's the base of the plug.

This plug's base is where the Flower Gem plug is designed to shine. The plug's base is made up of four blue, heart-shaped gems. These gems are firmly attached to the gem sockets - but any type of rough play or attempted removal will likely remove them. Regular play, however, shouldn't bother the gems.

The Flower Gem plug lends itself best to beginner's bums. The smaller size partnered with the rigid material means that it slides nicely against the body - and slides in easily when inserted. The plug itself is easy to lubricate, easy to slide in, and the rigid metal doesn't absorb lubricant which reduces the need to reapply lubrication after the initial insertion.

The Flower Gem cannot be used for long periods of time. The sides of the plug, near the flower gem, will become very quickly irritating against the skin. These sharp edges will poke and scratch at the skin. For longer use periods, avoid much movement while the plug is inserted. Keeping the legs spread and staying in a relatively stationary position will reduce irritation.

Walking, using the plug in public, or any type of physical movement will increase irritation. You may be able to eliminate the irritation by filing down the edges of the plug.

Waterproof and easy to clean, the Flower Gem will be pretty effortless to take care of. After every use, just use water and anti-bacterial soap to clean off the surface. Depending on how lubricated everything got, you might need to spend a bit of special attention cleaning off the gemstones as well. Otherwise, cleaning off the plug itself is extremely simple as the surface is pretty small, very easy to get to, and doesn't have any complex textures.

The toy should be stored away from any sharp objects or abrasive textures. It should be kept away from areas where it could easily roll and fall onto the hard ground. Outside of those requirements, it can be stored however, you'd like. The alloy doesn't pick up hair or lint, so it's simple to store.

Make sure to use lubricant with this (and any other anal toy). The water-based and silicone-based lubricant will work best, but with this material, you can use whatever lubricant works best for your body. The plug can be used with them all.
