This toy was definitely designed
A step up from simple
metal cuffs, these are mostly gentle on the skin and are sized to fit snuggly but comfortably on wrists and ankles. With 4 separate pieces, you can attach each strap to it's own structural anchor, and position your partner in a multitude of ways, including the basic spread eagle, my personal favorite. My husband has also been restrained by them and they work equally well on him, the straps adjusting easily to fit his larger ankles and wrists.
The end you attach to the structural anchors is just a simple strap with no additional hardware to help with attachment or tying, so you do have to be able to tie a knot that will not come undone as your partner pulls on them. The strap itself is also very simple and not padded, so they are not the most comfortable to pull on.
Because there is no padding to the straps, you do need to take care in what you attach the straps to, or tie them around, as they could wear the finish on soft wood or paint from metal or wood. If your partner is going to be tugging on the cuffs during your play, you may want to line the straps if you are concerned. Or you can insist that your partner remain still within the restraints - oh, lovely torture!
Because the
wrist & ankle cuffs adjust with Velcro, we have experienced some damage from the Velcro on delicate lingerie. We did ruin a pair of hose when the Velcro caught around my ankle and tore the material, causing runs and snags. Luckily they were not expensive hose, but still, something to consider if you also like to wear
sexy pantie hose. Care must be taken when wrapping the cuff around
lingerie.
Overall, an inexpensive foray into gentle restraint and
bondage play. Easy to use, adjustable.
It's a shame these aren't padded, I'd ruin my headboard in a minute.
So the ends that function as cuffs are fastened with velcro?
With any bondage using some kind of fabric, it's a good idea to keep some medical scissors (different from regular office scissors) around, just in case you need a quick-release option!
Just be careful when tying the knots; if your partner pulls, they can tighter, and while they can still get out of the cuffs, you might be stuck with restraints hanging around your house :)
Thanks for the warning tip on the velcro. I've learned that one the hard way myself.
