In theory, this seems like an excellent idea, but in practice it was just strange. The idea of a blindfold that covers the nose makes sense, because usually the most light comes in underneath the gap made by the bridge of the nose. In practice, it's hard to breathe through your nose, and light escapes through the nose flaps as well. Also, you look ridiculous while wearing it, and whoever decided a velcro blindfold was a good idea needs to not be on the design team at Spartacus, anymore.

The design of this blindfold is simple and straightforward. It's vaguely heart shaped and made of leather, with light foam padding reinforcing the mask itself. The odd stitching around the nose flaps in the sample picture is misleading, because the craftsmanship on my blindfold is excellent. The straps are rather big, ranging from about 20 to 24 or 25 inches. They fit my head just fine, but only just, so if you have a smaller head, it might do you some good to either adjust the mask or find a different one. Also, the straps close with velcro, which is sort of a recipe for disaster when put next to human hair.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the nose flaps work without letting light in, and on top of that, it's rather hard to breathe through your nose while wearing this. I've honestly found that a satin ribbon or sash works more effectively at blocking light, and that doesn't involve getting your hair caught in velcro. That, and the leather will feel sticky and uncomfortable after a while, which is not what I want in a blindfold. Overall, I just can't bring myself to recommend this.
