Best value and most versatile product I've ever bought

These tether cuffs can be used for wrists or ankles and provide light restraint. They are incredibly versatile and can be used in many locations or could even be tied to each other to create a regular pair of cuffs. Sportsheets always puts out quality products that are worth such budget friendly costs. I recommend these for anyone except those who need very strong restraint to be satisfied.

Use

The Kinky Pinky Cuffs with Tethers are a set of two cuffs with attached nylon tethers. The tethers can be tied to anything, such as the bed, legs of furniture, door hinges, hooks, a fence post, a tree branch, a pole, or even each other. If you do tie them to something above, do not rely on them to hold your weight. You must support yourself. It would only be for the effect of having your hands above your head. But really, you can get very creative with these if you require adventure in your sexual escapades. These can be used by anyone. They are really easy to get out of though, so if you are looking for something more difficult to escape from, these aren't what you are looking for. Depending on how you are tied, it's easy for you to reach with one hand and get the other one out. Honestly I think I could even get out one-handed, without the help of the opposite arm. I am more focused on pain and punishment during my bdsm play, so it doesn't matter to me as much if I can get out of a restraint. If I do, I'll get punished anyway!

If you've been hesitant to start using restraints though, this would be a really easy and simple way to get into it. They are really not intimidating at all. I'll get more into their design later in the review.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

This product is well made, as is everything by Sportsheets, but they are not designed for really heavy restraint. If it is important to you that you/your partner cannot get free during play, these are NOT the cuffs for such play. They are more for the effect, feel, and look of restraint. They won't come open by themselves, but it's easy for the restrained to make a small effort and get out. As ankle restraints, they are less easy to get out of unless your partner sits up of course, but that goes for any restraints on legs where the person's wrists aren't also restrained somehow. Since they are easy to get out of, though, that does mean these could easily be used without a partner if self-bondage is something that you're into.

The cuffs themselves are a pink fuzzy material (no explanation of what this material was, but it's not offensive in any way) with a small Sportsheets tag on the outside and the tethers are nylon. The cuffs are soft and comfortable and are fastened by velcro. I had never used velcro restraints before and was skeptical about its hold. Even though my wrists are very small and the velcro just barely went small enough to fit me, so there was less of it to grip to (if that makes sense), it still held well unless I or my partner unfastened it purposefully. The nylon tethers are attached to things by tying them there, so they are versatile in that they can be tied to anything, even each other, to make a regular pair of cuffs. There are so many uses for these, and with how adjustable they are, they could be ankle or wrist cuffs. If you bought two pairs at once, you could restrain each limb or yourself or your partner.

These will fit most users due to the design.

Measurements:
Nylon tethers - 30.25" usable length
Pink cuff - 10"
Velcro areas - 4" long (each side is the same length)

My wrist size is 5.5" circumference and it just barely was able to fit as indicated by pictures. The velcro really hung off the side. It worked though, and my partner and I used these just fine while tying them to the headboard.

Performance

These cuffs worked well for us, but they are not for heavy restraint play due to how easily you can get them off. They are really comfortable to wear, can easily fit ankles or wrists, and can be tied in a number of ways depending on what your sexual interests are. They're incredibly easy to use and are not intimidating at all to new players or even vanilla couples. These would be great for starting out bdsm play or for people like myself who have been doing bdsm for years. Just be mindful that these are for light restraint only and are much more for effect than true bondage.

Sportsheets is very solid quality, so although I haven't had them for long, I'm confident that they are going to hold up well to many years of play.

Care and Maintenance

There are no care instructions, but I don't see why these could not go through a gentle cycle on the washing machine. They can also be handwashed. They are easy to store as well and are really compact and travel friendly. These are incredibly low maintenance.

Experience

My partner and I were not floored by this purchase, but we're satisfied. I prefer punishment and pain play as opposed to bondage, so when I do use restraints, it is much more for effect, or a punishment, than actually not wanting to resist. When I play as a sub, I am always a resister, and these give me some more agency than regular cuffs, which is why they stood out to me. They are also really versatile and can be used in many locations which makes things more interesting, and can be used to help integrate some more vanilla partners into bdsm play. They were also hella cheap, so why not try them out? Sportsheets is great quality and also doesn't break the bank, so I will continue to buy more of their products.

I'm rating these as a 5 star product. There is no way to get something that costs $8.99 that is such good quality, easy to get out of or not. There is no way I can justify such a good product getting even 4 stars. These are a great value and have so many good uses. However, if you really need heavy restraints, Sportsheets also has other tether cuffs that are more expensive ($35.99) that are stronger.
