This toy was definitely designed
Unfortunately, my boyfriend of three years and I broke up before we could use these cuffs. So this review doesn’t have any experience behind it. But I do have them in my hand and have tried them on and they seem like they would do the job very well.
We can start with the material. Black leather. Who doesn’t love black leather? Smells, looks, and feels great. You may want to take the tags off the inside of the cuffs just for comfort, but if you want to leave them on for whatever reason, they shouldn’t cause that much problem. The material around the inside is thick folded leather. It feels great against the wrists (and ankles), even when you’re struggling against them. I put them on and simulated what it would be like trying to get out, and didn’t have any chaffing problems.
The buckle is locking. I have no idea why they don’t have a picture of the buckle, seeing how it’s an important part, but whatever. If you don’t know what a locking buckle looks like, it looks like a regular buckle, but the post-like part that goes through the hole has a loop perpendicular to the cuff on it. The lock goes on there and makes it so that the material of the cuff can’t get off of the post. I’m pretty sure you’d have to have some serious skill to be able to get out of these babies even without a lock though.
The length is perfect. It is just long enough to fit on my wrists and ankles. I don’t have that small of ankles either. I would say that an average sized woman should be able to use the cuffs as both
wrist and ankle restraints. There are six adjustment holes. On my wrists I use the third one and on my ankles I use the sixth one. On my wrist, the material of the cuff has to be overlapped to fit snug. I thought this was going to be a problem, but it is not uncomfortable at all.
As far as overall usage goes, the cuffs are relatively easy to use. But don’t plan on being able to get in and out of them on your own. I needed help getting the cuff on (the overlapping was hard to do with one hand). So as far as getting in and out in a hurry, these aren’t so great. But everything else is perfect. The D ring is very sturdy and reinforced. Nothing yells cheap about these cuffs,
