The Fashionistas Whip by Icon Brands is a beautiful flogger with a glass handle that is safe for insertion. This can be used by beginners and advanced users. The handle has many uses that will keep partners exploring how to use this toy together for quite a while. Although I think that the fashionistas line, even based on the name, is being marketed toward feminine people, anyone would be lucky to have a piece of this line. The pieces are beautiful and each match each other so you can dominate or submit with pretty pieces. As a very strong feminine personality myself, this flogger, and the rest of its line, really stuck out to me and the glass handle was an added plus. It would make an excellent prop for a play party because of its great design.

The design of this flogger is one of its greatest assets. A lot of floggers aren't overly attractive. I don't need my sex toys to look pretty, but when they do, I am way more excited about them so long as they are actually functional. I love that this is. It might not be the strongest flogger you can buy, but it is a quality item that can withstand some use. I think it will last me a long time.

The tempered glass handle of this flogger is 7" in total, including the black rounded part that holds the falls. The insertable portion is 6" and about 3" circumference. The handle is black with a golden design on it. It's not really describable other than there are diamonds with lines made of dots going through them.




A neat feature of the glass handle is that it is not actually completely round. When I took it out of the package and held it in my hand, I felt that it was comfortable, but it took me a while to realize why. Then I noticed it has the slightest squaring to one part of the handle. It is mostly round, and barely noticeable, just enough to make it comfortable to hold but not squared enough to make it awkward or painful to insert or look at.



The falls are 14.6" long and made of faux-leather. It doesn't smell weird out of the package. When I held it to my nose it didn't smell the best, but I really had to pursue finding a smell to find one. Each fall is just under .25" wide and there are 24 of them.

This flogger is wonderful. It can be used easily for intimidation because when whipped through the air, the falls make a great sound. Intimidating a submissive this way while they are tied up could be exciting both for the giver and receiver. It stings rather than thuds. Don't underestimate pretty things! This does leave a sting, though I doubt it would leave more than a bit of redness. If you do not like marks, this flogger is definitely an option, especially if using it lightly. The handle also has uses. It is not very large at only 6" long and 3" circumference, so it could be used by many people, beginners and advanced users alike. I had high expectations for this and was anticipating buying this for a few months before finally sticking it in my cart. As with any spanking or hitting, this does create a sound. If you have roommates, parents, or other people in your house that might look down upon bdsm, it may not be the best idea to use this while they are around since it does create sound that could be heard through thin walls or a door.

The handle of this is very easy to care for since it is glass. However, due to the falls, it would be impossible to put this in the dishwasher or to boil it the way other glass dildos can be cleaned. Water, soap, toy cleaner, or whatever strikes your fancy can be used on this handle. The falls require more caution. I am going to avoid getting anything on them as much as possible and have thus far been lucky. However, if something should get on them, I would use a gentle soap with water on a cloth to wipe it down or even some Eden Wipes or baby wipes. I would never submerge it in water.

This cannot be hung unless you tie a string around the area where the handle goes in. If it had a string attached at the top, it would not be insertable, and I think that's a fair trade off. I would rather it be insertable than be able to be hung. I lay it flat in a drawer where I keep my other toys. It should be stored in a cool, dry place to protect the falls.

I have been looking at this whip for a really long time and finally purchased it, figuring if I didn't, it would become discontinued and I would hate myself forever. Well, I'm glad I can finally take this off of my wishlist and put it in my drawer of sex toys. This flogger is fabulous not just in looks, but also functionality and even value with an insertable glass handle. Getting a flogger and a dildo/temperature play component for $45 isn't a bad deal at all.
