Beginner's furry cuffs - handcuffs discontinued by Pipedream - review by Eva Schwaltz

The Beginner's Furry Cuffs from Pipedream are police style handcuffs. They have a fur covering to make them feel a bit more comfortable while in use. They come with keys, attached together by a little ring, but there’s also a safety leaver on the side of the cuff if you need to get out of them quickly.

There are two little metal links joining the cuffs together. You can put a rope through them to tie your submissive, and restrict their movements even further. The diameter across is from 2 on the smallest setting to 3 on the largest setting, so they are only made for people with small wrists. These cuffs are made of cheap metal, and not built to withstand heavy restraint, but give you a realistic idea of what it is like to be handcuffed. However, they are very light weight, and can't withstand a lot of tugging.

They come packaged in a little box with a clear window on the front so you can see the cuffs inside. You can also get these in white. The cuffs are placed in a plastic bag with the keys on the bottom. I didn’t detect any strange odors upon opening them. There’s no instructions included, but the cuffs are pretty straight forward in their use.

The faux fur feels like that fuzzy material that is used on some winter jackets. It doesn’t offer any padding, making the cuffs feel quite uncomfortable. It can come completely off the cuff, and is machine washable. When they are done, just leave them to air dry. The metal is low quality, so wipe them down with a cloth if need be, and dry them with a towel right away. I had no difficulty placing the fur covers back on the cuffs when they were dry.

You can use the box they came in for storage, or store them somewhere else that is convenient for you. I haven’t had problems with the fur flaking off, or shedding everywhere.

After a few uses, the cuffs broke. Not a huge loss, they were my first cuffs, and they provided a great introduction to what it feels like to be cuffed. If you’re looking for something sturdy, these aren’t the cuffs for you, but they were really fun while they lasted.

Well since these already broke on me, I couldn't use them anymore, but I plan on getting sturdier cuffs like these. The slight discomfort, and keys make the experience more realistic, unmatched by fuzzy wuzzy cuffs.
