The Leather Hood feels so very soft. Whether I pranced around with it on my face in front of my mirror or rubbed it against my naked flesh, I was wooed by its softness. The hood is ultra smooth and made from quality leather. I looked for a fault in the craftsmanship and couldn't find one.

The front of the hood is all leather while the back half of the hood is made of Lycra. Now when I took the hood out of the box I thought that it looked cheezy and I just knew it was going to be cheaply made. I could not have been more wrong. The stitching is perfectly done, no matter how much I pulled it didn't budge. I couldn't find any crooked stitching or signs of future shredding.

The Leather Hood, although it states it is for a man, fits a woman's head with easy. Surprisingly it fits snug and comfortable and the eye and mouth/nose holes lined up with the contour of my face. When you are shopping for hoods, it is not like shopping for clothes. For my masculine females you know what I am talking about. A woman can pull off a pair of mens jeans. But a hood his meant to fit the structure of your face. It can't be too bagging because it will turn and move during play, possibly covering up the breathing holes. This is not cool nor intended. So I was shocked to see that the hood fit not only myself, but also my partner who has a rather small head. It is roomy in the back of the hood towards the nape of the neck but it did not cause the hood to fit improperly.

The eye and mouth/nose holes are wide enough to line up with your features. You don't have to worry about the section between the eyes being too wide and blocking your vision and the nose hole fits perfectly on top of the tip of your nose and still provides enough room for your mouth. No breathing interference here!

These qualities are very important with hoods, especially leather ones. When choosing a hood, quality, comfort, and safety are very important and this Leather Hood meets all of these points with big ass stars!

Out of the box I honestly thought the hood looked a bit cheap but once I saw it on, I fell in love. The great thing about this hood is that it is gender friendly. Although it is clearly marked for a man it fits a woman's head very nicely.

The Lycra back does not take away from the quality and aids in comfort when wearing for long periods of time. The nose and eye holes fit perfectly and don't restrict breathing or vision.

Another reviewer did mention restitching along the seams of where the leather and Lycra meet. I think this would be a good idea, especially if you use it often. However I saw no signs of possible fraying or loose thread when I inspected the hood.

For the price I think the Leather Hood is a great buy. Its a very simple yet well made design. The hood slips on and off with ease. And even though it looks like it has no shape when you first see it, once on you realize just how great it conforms to your face and head.

For beginners I suggest treading lightly. Wear the hood outside of playtime, get to know the material, and make sure the openings fit your face.

Leather masks tend to have a sealant on them and cleaners can break that finish down. I suggest simply wiping with a damp, not wet or soaked, cloth or dusting with a soft bristle dust brush.

For storage placing it on a wig head will help the mask keep its shape and do not stuff it in tight places or fold it up and throw it under junk or pile a bunch of crap on top of it. This mask is made of soft leather and leather has no sympathy for those who have poor care and maintenance habits. You also don't want to store it in any area that will subject it to intense heat or moisture.

The Leather Hood comes in a simple box. You could keep it in the box however, with leather products I like to store the items in a some-what open area so that it can breath and not get too wrinkled. I actual have a Styrofoam head that I keep mine on.

The box does not include care instructions which I would have liked to see for this type of item. For a beginner, it always helps to have simple care and storage instructions so that one knows the proper steps to maintain the integrity of the product.
