Lined collar review by Spartacus

I have a thing for colors, so when I first opened the package with the Spartacus Lined collar in it I was pleasantly surprised. It was a very nice bright red, not natural colored like it seems in the picture. That was at first a little disappointing, as I have wanted a natural colored collar for quite a while now.

The second thing that hit me was how attractive this collar was. The black metal against the red leather was very appealing and I found the buckle and the triangle ‘ring’ at the front down right sexy. It gives the entire collar a different look and feel about it than what you normally see.

I am half looking for a good reason to wear this collar in public to see people’s reactions. One of the most attractive things I find about it is that because of the color choices and the somewhat unusual design of the metal work it doesn’t scream bondage collar at you. Which means it could potentially be worn in public. 

I have done a fair bit of leather work so far in my life, being raised on a farm does that to you, and the leather felt and smelled like good quality leather. The ‘seams’ look solid and like they are up for much use.

Wearing the collar was very nice. It easily adjusts to different sized necks; both me and my girlfriend tried, and it is nice and soft against your skin. The lining of it made sure to divide the pressure more evenly over a larger area and I found this a lot more comfortable than my other collars.

I have worn it a few nights to see how it feels over longer stretches of time, and the first morning I did so I almost forgot it and would have walked to class wearing it had I not been more awake that usual when I looked in the mirror!

I found this to be a very comfortable collar, but my girlfriend found that the width was too large for her and she felt like she was being choked when she wore it. I am not really complaining as this means I get to wear it more, but I felt that it was worth mentioning that people with shorter necks might find the width a little too large. This is also the reason for the one star taken off, since it says in the description that it is comfortable for anyone to wear and this is not true I am afraid. But other than that I found this a very nice collar.
