Nice Gift
If you are experienced in BDSM, you may find this kit fairly vanilla. Everything in the kit is useful, regardless of your experience level. I would suggest this as a gift. If you are just looking to add to your collection, it would be better to choose each item individually. I give it four stars if purchased as a gift. It comes wonderfully packaged with a TO and FROM label that has some romantic writing on the inside geared toward beginners in sensory play.Published: August 11, 2011
Pros:
Not intimidating for newbies, great packaging for a present.
Cons:
Candles are unscented, blindfold isn't high quality.

Follow-up commentary

original review which actually just made me all hot and bothered re-reading it.
Anyways...We still have the box. It makes a romantic box to save love notes in. The blindfold is no where to be found. It's probably under the couch. I really do like the blindfold concept and plan to upgrade.
My favorite part of this kit is definitely the whip. I'm more naughty then nice. I like to leave it hanging from a dresser drawer knob when not in use.
The heart shape gift box is perfect for Valentine's day. For any other occasion I feel it is overpriced.

New to Rings.

I am trying to get my husband to try out a penis ring. Is there a particular one we should start with first to see if he likes it?
-
That depends on a few things:
1) Safetly: the safety of materials chosen for many cock rings is questionable. The safest materials are silicone and metal, with silicone being stretchier and better for beginners. See here: link
2) Fit: Will he be wearing it over the scrotum and penis, or just the penis? My husband has a particularly large scrotum and it's really difficult for him to get his balls through the hole in the ring, so keep that in mind when purchasing. For this type of ring, I recommend the line from Tantus (beginner, intermediate, advanced cock rings). The other type is worn only around the penis and there are a few variations in the above link.
Keep in mind his girth size and always check the "maximum stretched diameter" for the ring you are interested in to make sure he will fit, as this is sometimes a problem if the man is above or below average girth.
Also, rings that are wider (like the Tantus rings) have a decreased chance of tissue damage.
Hope this helps! -
Elnoa shared some great points. Also, if you just want a "starter" ring, you could try the free ring they offer in the gifts when you place an order.
