Noir tethers & leash set
Although the leashes are soft, sturdy, and attractive, I do not see a use for them other than as a leash. The wrist hole is too large to be used as a restraint and would be difficult to attach to things. The leash is very long and not good for keeping someone at a close distance. Overall, not very useful to me.Published: June 11, 2011
Pros:
Soft & durable, swivel clasp
Cons:
Not useful as tethers
I bought this product because I was looking for an affordable, attractive leash that could possibly serve multiple purposes, and I don't think this is quite what I wanted. This is a set of two leashes/tethers made of neoprene (I have the black ones). The clasp is just like what you would find on a standard dog leash, but smaller and it swivels. The leashes are pretty thin (1/2") and fairly long (38"). They will easily attach to any collar with a ring on it.
To tell the truth, I haven't used these very much. I tried using them as tethers to tie down my partner, but the wrist hole is quite large and can't be used as a good restraint since he slipped right out of it. I could tie the leash to something (like a bedpost), but it seems a bit silly to just have a leash clasp hanging off it. I suppose if you had a headboard with thin bars, you could clasp the leash to those, but it doesn't seem practical for restraint purposes. I have only used one leash to attach to my partner's collar to lead him around or hold him in place.
That being said, the leashes are made of a durable material, are soft and sturdy, and attractive. The metal clasp is small but swivels for movement. The product is high-quality and affordable.
I'm sure there are other uses that can be found for this toy; I'm just not sure what they would be. The leashes are so simple and stylish that they are seemingly versatile. For me, this is one of the toys that will just stay in my bag unless I'm attaching one leash to a collar, or until I figure out another use for them. A bit disappointing for my purposes.
