Patent leather bow wrist restraint - wrist cuffs by The Stockroom - review by Dawn (Lilac Distraction)

This bow wrist restraint is extremely versatile. There are three pieces to it: the bow itself, the lock and keys, and the wrist restraint part. Usage of the bow is entirely optional, so it can be used on those less frilly types. The strap is long enough to accommodate wrists (and ankles) of all sizes.

These restraints are amazing for all types of bondage play. The master gets to choose whether they put them on loosely for escapability and comfort, or tighter and non-escabable. As this bow can be quite tricky to put on by yourself, if not impossible, this is more geared towards couples, or group situations. Self bondage enthusiasts may be able to make use of these restraints by making them loose enough to slip their hands in and out of.

This bow can be used for bondage play, but also makes an incredibly beautiful accessory for photography sessions, because there really isn't anything like it out there. The restraints are also very discreet, as they resemble a belt, and are suitable for travel.

The actual restraint strap is made of leather. The D-ring on it is held in place by tiny rivets, so it should be extremely durable. It is about 27" long and has 12 notches for sizing on each side. Each side can go from 6 1/2" to about 12 1/4" in circumference, making it very suitable for smaller wrists to larger ankles. When placing the straps on the D-ring, the leftover piece of the strap does end up inside the other cuff, but therse are incredibly easy to size without much of a difference in the tightness. If you find that this is a problem, you can always trim the straps to a shorter length. The edges of the strap are squared, which may cause slight discomfort for those out there who are stugglers.

The bow is a very beautiful and shiny patent leather material. It measures 9" wide and 10" long, so it is bound to make a stunning visual display. The bow is not required for the restraints to function, so it is optional. There is stitching on the loops of the bow which help it to hold its shape very well. The bow is also reinforced with metal rivets to help it stay durable.

The lock is a very simple, but elegant heart shaped lock. It comes with two keys which are attached to the restraints with a tiny string of leather. The lock has a chrome plating on it which gives it a mirror finish. It measures 2" high from top to bottom, and 1" wide. It has a nice weight to it. In the event that you lose the lock, it can be easily picked open with a pin or other similar item.

The only issue that I have with these restraints as they come packaged is that when the bow is used with them, getting the lock on can be a bit difficult. Thankfully, I have the exact same lock in a smaller size that manages to work a lot easier. When the bow is not in use, I use the regular lock that is comes with without any problems.

There several types of appeal for these lovely restraints. First and foremost, these restraints are the most elegant and unique style that I've ever come across. They are extremely eye-catching and stunning. The fact that the restraints can be used without the bow is another plus for couples who like to switch. The strap is highly sturdy and discourages struggling of any sort. I was attracted to these restraints for more of the form than the function of them. I wanted something incredibly gorgeous and feminine. I am highly pleased with the quality, durability, and overall design of them.

These restraints come in a clear, zip-top bag that is incredibly useful. I prefer to store them in the bag while not in use because it helps to keep the bow and lock free of any scratches or damage.

When I ordered these restraints (after drooling over them for months) I started to think of other things I could attach to them other than the bow it included. I am planning on making several other bows with wide ribbon. All that's needed for this is a sewing machine with a button-hole function. This way, I can have different bows to match my attitude or outfit.
