Slave collar by Spartacus - review by Shellz31

MATERIAL:

The Spartacus Slave collar is made from black leather and metal snaps. Also created using metal is the word SLAVE on the front which are clamped on using claws that are poked through the leather and folded on the inside to hold the letters in place. The claws are pressed down into the leather on the inside, so you can't feel them at all while wearing or even when rubbing your finger across them. These letters aren't all quite straight on mine, but most people aren't going to really notice when glancing at it. They are shiny, raised and rounded, so there's no sharp pieces that can dig in or catch on clothing.
There are four snaps to the right of the letters and a cap snap on the other end with the Spartacus logo. The sizes are as follows:

1st Snap: 17”
2nd Snap: 16”
3rd Snap: 15”
4th Snap: 14”

The leather is extremely flexible, making it very comfortable to wear with no stiff restriction like some collars have. It's smooth with a slight matte sheen on the outside and almost fleece like against your skin. There's a slight leather smell, but nothing that can be smelt unless held up to your nose. Because this one is purely for fashion/statement purposes, there's no D ring for attaching a lease or dog tag of any kind. It's not meant to take rough treatment, although, the snaps aren't going to pop open if a partner was to slip a few fingers between the collar and your neck for a little control.
The entire length is 18” with a width of ¾”.


CLEANING ~ PACKAGING:

For cleaning, you can either purchase some leather cleaner specifically designed to keep the hide in pristine condition or use a mild soap and damp cloth. I wouldn't recommend getting the leather soaking wet. Then leave it to thoroughly dry in a flat position.

There was absolutely no packaging or information on the product at all. It simply arrived floating around the main box with the rest of the items I ordered. If you wish to store the collar strictly for play sessions, either lay it flat or snap it together to create a ring and stand it on its edge. This prevents any creases in the leather.

EXPERIENCE:

Unfortunately, there is no loop at all for those who require the snaps on the tightest, so I find that the extra length keeps hanging down in the back rather than staying tucked neatly under the rest of the collar. This may not be a problem for some, but it drives me nuts. I intend on getting one of those tiny clear elastic rings (like the ones they use on mouth braces) to slide on the end and hold the end in place.
I'm not normally one to wear any kind of jewellery, as I find it too restricting. So I was after a collar that was very flexible and soft enough that I could live in it. I also have a shortish neck, so I required one that was narrow. This one is perfect in both aspects. So much that I even sleep in this with no worries what so ever. And I'm one of those people who needs everything just right to be able to sleep.
I don't know how long this will last with wearing it 24/7 (apart from when in the shower), but being leather it should hold out for a good distance. Besides, at this price, it's more than cheap enough to replace if I only get a year out of it.
I'm proud to announce my role, even in public. I say “Let the vanilla's look in horror or disgust! Don't knock it til ya try it”. Even though my Master is online, there is still an ownership in place. This collar makes me feel closer and more owned by my Master.

Great job Spartacus in earning 5 stars! Next I'd like one that is similar but with a buckle instead of snaps, thanks. Oh, and perhaps with a small ring on the front base, so that I can hang a dog tag.

This collar is holding up very well. I wear this on a daily basis as my 'owned' slave collar for now.
It has taken on the shape (or the way I wear it) of my neck, so it's no longer straight when I lay it out flat, but it hasn't stretched at all length wise. The fact that the extra band hangs down instead of staying tucked under the collar still bothers me some, but it's a minor issue for the fantastic low product price.
