Survey says... A little stiff.

These cuffs are made of soft leather on the inside, and a stiff leather strap on the outside. The placement of the metal rivet makes extended wear a little uncomfortable for me, and the tag itches. But they're well made, nice looking cuffs, and the problems I've had with them can totally be the shape of my wrists. So give them a shot. They just might work for you.

So, you aren't over-excited about your new camera lights set. Not at all. I did like the pictures though. They look great!

Wow, I'm shocked that these were so uncomfortable for you! I think these and all of ASLAN's restraints are the most squishy and comfy things out there...shows how different we all are, eh? Great review, loved the pictures.

Thanks, y'all.

@S&L The metal near the buckle presses into my wrist unless I buckle them one too loose. But they're loosening up some.

    • How well do these hold up?
    • Quote: How well do these hold up?
I haven't gotten too rough with mine yet, but they do seem really durable. The stitching is quite strong and the buckles and rivets are thick. If something does go wrong, though, Alsan has a lifetime guarantee for repair/replacement if they fail during normal use (ie. not using them to tow a car, etc).

Well, do the reviews go into enough detail on the durability? I would read all 7 myself to answer your question but I have to go to work shortly :(

Just at first glimpse they seem durable enough. Depends how rough you are going to be with them :P

  • Black Jaguar Cuffs - Care?
    • Hi there! I ordered the Black Jaguar Cuffs recently and before they arrive I just wanted to ask a bit about how to care for them.
I read the reviews for the cuffs and many people suggest using leather conditioner and cleaner (the latter for use if it gets dirty) as well as something for the metal parts too to prevent tarnishing.

Basically what I'd like to know is, what specific *brands* of each do some people use? Any suggestions would be appreciated but do realize I am in Canada so the products must be available at most leather goods carriers and/or stores in Canada, I don't want something *too* expensive either, just something that'll get the job done :-)

Any help would be appreciated, from both Aslan themselves or other members/staff ^^
    • Anyone? Bueller?
    • I'm not sure, but I'll bump the thread so people can see it again.
