Black and blue strap whip by Spartacus - review by ShadowKitten

The Black And Blue Strap Whip is a very pretty budget flogger best suited (in my opinion) for someone that's into moderate to extreme impact/pain play and is suited for both beginners and advanced users alike. Although beginners may want to take things slow and not exert too much force with this toy, as it can pack a very decent sting!

This flogger is designed mostly like every other flogger I've seen with a single exception, the falls aren't exactly attached to the dowel/handle like most floggers in that they're actually part of the handle itself and surround the dowel/handle's core (video soon showing exactly what I mean); this can cause the flogger to have a much more stiffened appearance and feel--mind you I have yet to have this used on me by someone else so I can't really give an accurate feel to that end of things.

Considering the price and slightly awkward design of this flogger I do believe it is a quality product that if treated right and taken care of, will last many months if not at least a couple years which is pretty good for a budget flogger.

The material from the looks of it is some kind of hard leather with softer leather layered underneath, it does have a very potent smell but it has started to slightly diminish over the past few days finally; the smell is only powerful if the flogger is near your nose and dull at best if within a foot of your face.

The handle is held together by several shiny grommets (I think that's the word for them) and a braided-like design (made of soft black leather) at the very end near the D-Ring that can be used to hang it on a wall/rack etc.

Although I have yet to have this used on my more sensitive parts due to my lack of a partner, using this flogger on my thighs, wrists, lower legs and (albeit with little success) my back feels very very nice. This is not a very thuddy toy if you prefer that sensation you might want to look elsewhere but my oh my, the sting behind this guy is wonderful. I honestly cannot wait for the day (who knows when that will be though) I have this properly used on me by someone else as it really is a great stingy toy!

This flogger exceeded my expectations already and I more than likely will buy another one (or another color of the same design) soon to join this one.

Periodic checks should be done on your flogger to ensure it hasn't dried out to the point that it's starting to crack, although this hasn't yet shed on me yet it may, if it does I shall do a followup review!

If your flogger is dry or dirty, I suggest using some kind of leather conditioner or cleaner (respectively) to keep it in good shape, you can often find such products at Tack Shops or Farming supply stores at fairly decent prices as well on occasion at hardware stores but that's more rare.

If you get lube or 'something' like that (cough cough) on the flogger's exterior I suppose you could take a very slightly damp cloth and wipe it down, just use hardly any water as too much can damage the toy and keep it away from the softer leather on the inside of the falls.

Lastly, I suggest storing the flogger hanging or laid flat as bending the falls at all can damage and wear down your falls, especially with this flogger's attached falls design.
